New page reviewer granted

Hi Csgir. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encylopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 01:33, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

Hello, If the article Vyommitra can be expanded it might become a good DYK. Let me know on my talk page if you think I can help. Titodutta (talk) 21:14, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

@Titodutta: Hello, thank you for offering to help. I just updated the article with few more information gleaned from latest news publications. Does the page need to be of a specific length for a good DYK? Would really appreciate your help. Pinging you here to keep the communication at one place or we can do this at your Talk page, no issues. Csgir (talk) 05:45, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
It needs 1,500 readable bytes. Currently it is Prose size (text only): 806 B (118 words) "readable prose size". You may use User:Dr pda/prosesize.js script (install at Special:MyPage/common.js), which will make it easier to check prose size. --Titodutta (talk) 06:02, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
Noted. Will keep on updating the page as and when new information comes. Csgir (talk) 08:48, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
@Titodutta: Kindly help with finding an image for Vyommitra page. I searched on Flickr.com but didn't get any. Thank you. Csgir (talk) 10:56, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

@Vishal arora kaku: Hello, the person does not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Read WP:NOTABILITY. Csgir (talk) 06:43, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) FYI, that user is likely a sock of Vishal0722. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:36, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
@Drm310: Most probably. I had reported the same here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Usernames_for_administrator_attention Csgir (talk) 14:42, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kanthi D Suresh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kanthi D Suresh. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. @GSS: Hi, it is best if the page goes through a 2nd AfD nomination and discussion rather than a speedy because the last AfD was in 2017 and the person has gained in notability. I have left a message indicating the same in its Talk page. Csgir (talk) 07:42, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
For sure I will go with the AfD if the speedy is declined and I would like to request you to disclose if you were paid to post this page per WP:PAID because the subject of your article was eagerly looking for freelancers to post her article on Wikipedia. GSS💬 08:21, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
@GSS: Certainly. Thank you. I am aware of WP:PAID and I haven't created this page for any financial benefit. I have a hand-written log of my failed page creation attempts, which I am revisiting and re-attempting. This is one of them - the person clears basic WP:GNG with the post-January 2019 media presence. Csgir (talk) 08:32, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
By the way, how did you managed to find this logo the day it was uploaded to Flickr by Chethan Govindaraj who works for Global Banking & Finance Review (Magazine) that you published on November 17, 2018. GSS💬 13:35, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
Uh! Images are such a complicated process that I have given up hopes of understanding this. Wikimedia accepts Flickr.com photos so I searched the magazine name there, got few versions of the logo, checked the permissions, and uploaded here. Sincerely hoping it was the right process since you are asking about it. Csgir (talk) 14:38, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. GSS💬 15:43, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted

Hi Csgir, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! qedk (t c) 17:51, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

Please delete my date of birth from Wikipedia

Hi Csgir, thank you for your reply. My name is Sachin Joab. I have been a actor for many years now. Unfortunately, I often lose roles even when I do a good audition because as opposed to many other actors, the knowledge of my age is openly available on Wikipedia.

I have no issue with losing out on roles because of my performance or if I look too young or too old for a role. However, even if I do an ideal performance in an audition and 'physically' fit the age of the character, if a producer/director/decision-maker identifies my age from viewing it on Wikipedia it negatively effects my chances at receiving the role. I find this terribly unfair because so many actors/actresses do not have their ages listed on Wikipedia.

Can you please direct me to the correct area within Wikipedia to have my age permanently removed from Wikipedia so that my age cannot be openly identified. Your help in this matter would be much appreciated. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.34.95.242 (talk) 14:37, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

@175.34.95.242: Hello Sachin, I can understand your predicament and oddly enough, I don't know why, it reminded me of Joey from the iconic F.R.I.E.N.D.S series :) But you need not worry as another editor has already fulfilled your request. Check out Sachin Joab. All the best for your career. Csgir (talk) 12:41, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
