Your draft article[edit]

Hope you don't mind but I added some references and did some other adjustments on your "Nathan 'Ned' Miller"draft article. I have been unable to find a source for the "ASCAP Top 100..." statement. If you could add the source for that to the article it would be a big help. Also, is here a biography of Mr. Miller anywhere, maybe in a book of composers? The more you can source any statements the better. Even though you might know something to be 'true', if it can't be verified from a reliable source it usually can't be included in a Wikipedia article. Let me know if you have any other questions. Problems with upload of File:Ned Miller.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ned Miller.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there[edit]

I've noticed that you're continuing to work on your Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Nathan "Ned" Miller article, it's looking better and better all the time. There is one issue that you might want to keep in mind as you improve the draft: Wikipedia articles cannot be used as references/sources for other Wikipedia articles. I noticed that there were several inline citations that refer to other Wikipedia articles, for instance Reference #1 is 1926 in music. (The main thing to keep in mind is that editors need to use outside sources, we can't use Wikipedia to prove itself.) When you put your draft up for approval or move it into Main, it would probably be declined because of this particular sourcing issue.
I also hope it's alright that I took the liberty of adjusting some spacing issues within the coding. If you'd rather I wouldn't do that, just post here on your talk page...I'll put your talkpage on my Watchlist. if you'd rather post on my talkpage feel free. Just go to User talk:Shearonink, hit the New section tab up at the top and post your comment there. Hope this all helps, Shearonink (talk) 22:56, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

The article you submitted to Articles for creation has been created.

Thank you for helping Wikipedia!

Please could you try to add direct references after all the facts - some are now marked as 'citation needed'.
If you can resolve the problems noted on the live article within 5 days, then it should be submitted to Did You Know... - and if accepted, it would appear on the main page of Wikipedia. However, all the 'tags' must be resolved first. Information that cannot be referenced to a reliable source should be removed.
Cheers,  Chzz  ►  02:08, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Jack benny.jpg needs authorship information.[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Jack benny.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|Cultofqwerty}} will produce an appropriate expansion,

or the {{own}} template..

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:05, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits on Nathan "Ned" Miller[edit]

I see you've placed information back into Nathan "Ned" Miller with this edit. This person's name has been added back into the article several times by yourself, but not only is this information unsourced this person appears to be a private individual and per WP:BLPNAME, the name should probably not be included in this article. I have also been unable to find any reliable sources that prove this assertion. Shearonink (talk) 22:46, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Jack benny.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
