Welcome to Wikipedia

Hello, Cwjian, and welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia is one of the world's fastest growing internet sites. We aim to build the biggest and most comprehensive encyclopaedia in the world. To date we have over four million articles in a host of languages. The English language Wikipedia alone has over one million articles! But we still need more!

I notice you have made contributions to the articles List of 101 Dalmatians: The Series characters, Cadpig, Spot, Lucky and Rolly, and we thank you very much for that! Please feel free to continue to contribute your knowledge and expertise to our site. All useful contributions, no matter how small, are still needed in improving Wikipedia.

If you need help, you may see:

Here are a few more good links for newcomers:

Reading everything on all these pages at once may be a little overwhelming, so take your time reading them, and do not be too pressurised by them. Take it slow. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using three tildes (~~~). You may also sign your name using four tildes (~~~~), which will automatically produce your name and the date.

If you need more help on any matters concerning Wikipedia, please check out the Help desk, a place to ask questions. Also, feel free to ask questions on my talk page. In addition, you may place {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Remember to be bold in editing, but at the same time, try to make constructive edits, and do not vandalise any pages. To avoid amaking any mistakes, you can click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes. In the event that you do make any mistakes, don't be discouraged, especially by any criticism you may receive. Always remember what Mary Pickford said, "If you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down."

Again, welcome!

God bless;

Your edits to Cadpig[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Cwjian! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, and try to reinsert the link again. If your link was genuine spam, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Your image uploads[edit]

You have uploaded several images that appear to be screenshots from a TV program and tagged them with a "free" image tag. I have retagged them with {{tv-screenshot}}. Please note that anything that is based on a copyrighted work should be tagged with a "fair use" tag that meets the requirements of WP:FAIR, rather than a "free use" tag. Thanks. 101 Dalmatians: The Series...[edit]

Hello, I tried to send you an email but was unsuccessful (it said you have no email assigned), so first off I would advise you to set an email. It is not public and will not be spammed on, and it provides other users of Wikipedia to contact you with questions that aren't fully related to the encyclopedia by mail. But the primary reason I am contacting you is to ask you if you are the creator of the 101D fan site on megaone.com [1]? You seem to know so much about the series that I thought it may be you. Not sure. You do make articles and edits written well about the series, though. If you aren't then I am sorry for bothering you.

If you are, however, then I must commend you on having such a magnificent Web site! I have been visiting there regularly since the year 2000. Keep up the good work!

Hi, nice to hear from you! I'm glad you're a fan of the series but I am unfortunately not the owner of the Cadpig website. The owner is a man called John V. For the time being, he seems to have abandoned the site and is currently working for Disney as an artist/animator, if I am not mistaken. I also visit there regularly and I agree that it is a wonderful site but I haven't seen anything new there for a LONG time. I do know alot about the series and it is my favourite TV show of all time. There is another website that has alot of fans but, since it is a forum, I can't put it on Wikipedia. The URL is: http://sparkydearly.proboards78.com

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cadpig2.JPG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cadpig2.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:Cadpig2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cadpig2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 21:27, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Cpr.JPG[edit]

I have tagged Image:Cpr.JPG as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. List of Kamichu! gods and characters[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article List of Kamichu! gods and characters, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. —Quasirandom 19:21, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of List of animal characters in the 101 Dalmatians franchise[edit]

I have nominated List of animal characters in the 101 Dalmatians franchise, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of animal characters in the 101 Dalmatians franchise. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
