Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Expo 2030 moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Expo 2030, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. List markup

[edit]

Just a note to point out MOS:LISTGAP, which advises against leaving gaps between items in a list, for accessibility reasons. -- Beland (talk) 18:26, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this edit, I noticed you added blank lines into a unordered list for the second time, even though MOS:LISTGAP advises against this. Could you explain your rationale for doing so? -- Beland (talk) 01:55, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

November 2020

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm JalenFolf. I noticed that you recently removed content from 2022 FIFA World Cup without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jalen Folf (talk) 20:28, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Changing referenced facts

[edit]

Please be careful when changing text that is referenced. For example, this edit to Toyota Tundra changed the text from correct to incorrect, which should have been obvious from the citation given. Thanks. -- Beland (talk) 02:01, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Titanic II

[edit]

Hello, I'm Blue Riband. I reverted your edits to Titanic II because there have been no reliable sources giving any recent updates on the status of the project. The planned dates are highly speculative because this project has been off again/on again since first announced back in 2012. There is a lot of editorial skepticism on whether the ship will ever get built. You can review it at Talk:Titanic II. Blue Riband► 17:30, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks!Blue Riband► 03:39, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable Sources

[edit]

Hello, I'm Blue Riband. When we add information into articles we need to back up those claims with reliable sources. What's a "Reliable Source"? You may find this article helpful: WP:RS. It explains what is considered a "reliable source" and why this matters. You have made same recent changes to articles 2025, 2028, and Aston Martin Valhalla without including any citations or edit summaries. You may also consider accepting the invitation to the Teahouse. It's a great resource for learning how Wikipedia works. Blue Riband► 19:03, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Blue Riband. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2028 Summer Olympics, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. If you are going to specify that a decision will be made at the 137th conference there should be a citation to back that up. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at 2023 AFC Asian Cup, you may be blocked from editing. You also added unsourced broadcast information to the 2023 Pan American Games. The one source you did have, for Brazil, you removed on your subsequent edit. Several editors here have been attempting to point you in the right direction by making you aware that we all have to provided sources for any information that we add. Expo 2025 edit warring

[edit]

You appear to be an an WP:EDITWAR with regarding Expo 2025 with this back and forth here, here, and here. You didn't offer an edit summary to explain your changes. In the case of a future event, it's already implied that it's "forthcoming". Since your editing pattern shows an interest in future events, you may find this helpful WP:FUTURE. A tag has been placed on 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Has been deleted before twice as an article. Same reasons still apply here: WP:CRYSTAL and WP:TOOSOON

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
