Non-free rationale for File:Mr clean 2006.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mr clean 2006.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:33, 22 October 2017 (UTC)

Satisfy (typeface) article

Hello, thanks for writing this article! I’ve just read it and I’m a bit concerned that it has no citations. That worries me since without proof that this topic is notable, meaning covered enough in media for it to be possible to write a fair article on the topic, the article may get deleted. In addition, I'm not clear that this font is even legal to publish, since Segoe Script is a copyrighted font, meaning that cloned versions wouldn't be legally permissible to sell/distribute without the creator's permission.

Are there any reliable sources on the topic that you can add? If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool, or if you have any thoughts or questions just let me know. Blythwood (talk) 05:05, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

  • Sorry, but that doesn't count. That's just a link to a website which will display any font you send it. Do you have any sources of extended writing discussing the font not written by its designer or websites reposting it? For an article to be accepted, we need to see articles about the font written by other people; see WP:NOTABLE. Blythwood (talk) 06:27, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Sorry, that's not what we need. We need "published works" about this font written by other people. I've nominated it for deletion. Blythwood (talk) 08:46, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
  • I don't dispute that the font is real, but we can't take an article on it without articles or books written about it. For example, the family Neutraface is notable because of coverage like this. This is a freebie script font-it doesn't have notability by our standards. Blythwood (talk) 08:48, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Satisfy (typeface) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Nomination of Satisfy (typeface) for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Satisfy (typeface) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Satisfy (typeface) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Blythwood (talk) 20:06, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Classical music

My edit to the "Classical music" page was definitely not vandalism. The page should really be called "Western classical music", and the "Classical music" page should be a disambiguation page, with a list of different kinds of classical music. I will request a page move, but for the time being, I have edited the page to specify that it is referring to Western classical music. Please discuss with me before reverting my edits. As you can see from all of my edits, I tend to be relatively unbiased and I am very much into all kinds of music, so I would never vandalize the WP page of an artist even if I didn't care for their music. 70.114.211.80 (talk) 01:36, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

You are now a pending changes reviewer and a rollbacker

Hi Cyrus noto3at bulaga! I've been running into you in recent changes patrolling and I happened to notice that you don't have the rollback or pending changes reviewer user rights. I hope you don't mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you're quite active in recent changes patrolling, and you consistently view and undo vandalism and disruption to articles. I believe that these user rights would be useful for you to have and that you'd make good use of both tools. Instead of having you formally request them at WP:PERM, I just went ahead and just gave them to you. These user rights allow you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes and quickly revert the edits of other users.

Rollback user right
Please keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle. It just adds a "[Rollback]" button next to a page's latest edits - that's all.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war. If abused or used for this purpose, rollback rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask.
Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see this tutorial page.
Pending changes reviewer user right
The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection enabled is located at Special:StablePages. You may find the following pages useful to review:

I'm sure you'll do fine with these user rights - they're pretty straight-forward and they don't drastically change the interface look that you're used to, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into any troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of reviewer or rollback. If you no longer want either of these user rights, contact me and I'll remove them. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism and keep disruptive edits off of Wikipedia - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:35, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

On a side note... my dear God you should really change the font you use here! It makes my eyes bleed... haha :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:36, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
So many thanks! --Cyrus noto3at bulaga (Talk to me) 08:37, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.

At 08:37, 16 February 2018‎ Cyrus noto3at bulaga used a rollback on good faith edits performed on the page describing Aphonopelma chalcodes , a page rated as start-class and thus able to benefit from good faith edits made by qualified individuals. Conservation1848 (talk) 00:49, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

Please be advised, Oshwah that Cyrus noto3at bulaga is rollbacking good faith edits and demonstrating insufficient English language skills to assess the quality scientific discussions in English. Conservation1848 (talk) 02:19, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi there, and thanks for the heads up! Cyrus noto3at bulaga - Mistakes happen and are certainly expected - it's okay to make them so long as you understand and learn from them :-). Yes, you want to make sure that you use rollback for bad-faith clear cases of vandalism only. If you're not reverting such edits, there are tools that will allow you to leave an edit summary with your reversions. If you leave an edit summary, then you're fine - but using rollback without an edit summary to revert good faith edits is no bueno. Just put this on your radar, and make sure that you're not using rollback inappropriately :-). If you have questions about anything, please let me know - my talk page is always open to you. Best -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:23, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Ke Apon Ke Por (TV series)

Hello Cyrus noto3at bulaga. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Ke Apon Ke Por (TV series), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Page was created before the user was banned. Thank you. SoWhy 12:01, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

Why?

Why did you revert here? You clearly made an error. You said you make plenty of errors. The impact of that is that you hurt Wikipedia. Please stop. --2604:2000:E016:A700:24D6:DC13:589F:9B4E (talk) 11:34, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

The mother's name is Gay. There are people with that name. Read Gay (given name). That is not disruptive. That is her name. Read the source. And stop reverting. User:Oshwah - please help me here; he does not listen to me. 2604:2000:E016:A700:24D6:DC13:589F:9B4E (talk) 11:38, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Jedi reversions

I noticed you reverted 101.108.108.174 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) numerous times on Jedi, but did you look at what the user was doing? They were reverting vandalism but you kept restoring it and template-warning the IP address. Yes, it could have behaved better on your page, but please pay close attention to what you are reverting when using rollback and twinkle. I see this is not the first time mistaken reverts have been raised here; further issues may result in loss of rollback. ~ Amory (utc) 11:55, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Did not appear constructive? Are you Marathi?

What is not constructive in improving spelling as per local language? The link is still there for people to see which city it is. Are you now also telling me that I don't know what Indo-Aryan branch my language is from? You should really consider your own knowledge on the matters that you make judgements on. I don't claim to know the local names of your city or what branch of Austronesian Filipino language is. You shouldn't think you know better just because wikipedia editing or policing is your hobby. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.48.58.226 (talk) 09:06, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

  • Are you saying you've more knowledge about Marathi? Cause that's what I asked. I'm not Filipino like you so I don't claim to have more knowledge about Filipino people or language like you did above regarding Marathi. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.48.58.226 (talk) 09:37, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
  • Congratulations & good for you. That wasn't my question though as you can read it yourself. I won't question your intelligence on answering the simple question I asked to which you're giving wayward answers. When you say "I'm Filipino but I have more knowledge" to the question "Are you saying you've more knowledge about Marathi?" that doesn't really speak of your knowledge on your mentioned subjects that no one is discussing. You should have some basic sense of a topic before judging something as constructive like the name of the dynasty, spelling of the city, sub branch of a language family on which you gave your opinion on. If that opinion on those topics was based on your knowledge of maths, science, unicode, etc. then you need to learn more on where to apply that intelligence filled knowledge cause the topics you judged or gave your opinion on had nothing to do with that. You shouldn't abuse through your hobby of wikipedia policing. 103.48.58.226 (talk) 10:47, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
