G'day Dan, I just threw together an article on Reveley, because I went to link him after plundering the DNB for an article on his mum. I was amazed that neither you or I, or anyone else, had got around to creating it! I guess there is still some important WA figures that needs articles. When you edited the Paul Wheelahan article, you added a link to Congo, which is a disambiguation page rather than an article. If you know from the source material whether it's referring to the Republic of the Congo or the Democratic Republic of the Congo, could you please edit your link to point to the appropriate page? Most common usage referring to the country simply as "Congo" is about Republic of the Congo, not the DRC, but I didn't want to assume that in this case since you're probably more familiar with the topic. Kerosene Store/Kidogo Arthouse

Hi Dan, the work you've done on Wiki with WA rock musicians and heritage buildings sets a great precedent for the articles I wish to create and expand. In Fremantle there is Kidogo Arthouse, which occupies a convict-built limestone building near Bathers Beach. Should I create an article for the building itself (originally known as "Kerosene Store") and cover Kidogo Arthouse in a "Current uses" section, or name the article "Kidogo Arthouse" with a pre-Kidogo history section? Dan, I want to thank you for working to take care of the plagiarism issues I raised. The articles I've checked so far look good to go now. Discussion on linking to streamed copies of albums

Wikipedia policy allows us to link to legal streamed copies of albums. It would be useful to draw up a guideline on how and when to link to such albums; however, there is concern that it may not be appropriate as the music would not be available in all parts of the world. Is the benefit of having access to the music for most users outweighed by the fact that some users will follow a link to find the music is not playable in their region? I take the points you have made on my talkpage, however, when I redirected the article, this was the article. As I said, in my edit, no claim of notability, no references, fails WP:GNG and WP:NSONGS. You have made a good job adding references and establishing notability. There's more than enough articles tagged for notability that haven't been dealt with. If either notability had been claimed, or some references I would have tagged either unreferenced or notability, but as there was neither I took the course of action I did. I have been doing it this way for the past three years. There are presently 38,000+ articles tagged as stub under the songs project, mostly unloved and unnecessary. Do you think any of the unlinked artists deserve their own wiki article? I can't find when it became a sub-label of Festival Records, when the label was sold by Thomas, or when it folded. I'm having a go at this article but I have a query about spelling. Its the whole Francis vs Frances problem. First there's Little's mother Francis Peters, secondly his daughter is Frances Claire Peters-Little and thirdly the song he wrote about his daughter is "Francis Claire". Discography

This is highly problematic. For the albums I can't tell which ones are studio, live or compilations. Also some EPs may be listed as albums and vice versa or both. Calenture

I've done my time on Calenture and I'm seeing too many elliptical delusions... The biggest is: when was it recorded / released? Some sources e.g. Allmusic have it recorded in April - August 1987 but released in February 1987. While here has it released in November 1987 but still recorded in April–August 1987. McFarlane has album released in February 1988 with "Bury Me Deep in Love" out the previous December. If, as the article, states the album was released in February 1987 why no single until "Bury Me Deep in Love" appeared in October? Meanwhile their previous album, In the Pines, was released in August 1986 but recorded on 14 - 18 April 1986. However Calenture says it was recorded in April - August 1986: so did they go straight from the Jerdacuttup woolshed to London, Liverpool and Bath to record the next album then release In the Pines then finish off Calenture by February '87 and sit around for eight months before issuing its first single? Who did Jill Birt replace? Currently, The Triffids has "Gillard and Akers left in February 1982 and were replaced by Jill Yates on keyboards and a returning Sinclair.[1]" and later "As a four-piece—Casey, David & Robert McComb, and MacDonald... in Melbourne ... in October 1982". Although its not explicitly mentioned I get the idea that Yates stayed in Perth. Birt joins in March 1983 when they went to Sydney by that time Gillard is gone for a year. Speaking of MV, the article now has them supporting a list of bands in two separate paragraphs. I moved the list to the final paragraph before Post MV subSectn, it acts as a summary of their overall career. If you want the list in the second paragraph then it should be deleted from later one and should be reffed.

Did you try for a Billboard listing of ARIA noms at Google books? Some years various Aus writers post noms there. The ceremony was in March, that year. Use the search function with the 'Forum' tab selected. If an entry is supplied by a staff member i.e. Staff AU usually tagged as bulion then it can be used as an on-line support for Kent Music Report, or ARIA50+.

Not sure of the following and so I haven't put it in: His father, Giovanni Mariani (born 29 March 1927) was a farm and factory hand, he arrived in Fremantle on 4 September 1951 on the ship, Toscana. His mother, Giovanna Mariani arrived on 25 May 1957 on Neptunia, while his grandfather Domenico Mariani (24 August 1901 – 9 March 1971) had arrived in 1955.

Gene Pierson wiki page

I have added a little information to the introduction. I have spent hours last night referencing sources to this information so please do not undo my changes again without giving me a chance to fix any issues if they exist. Prior to my additions, the introduction mentioned only Gene's musical career, which was eons ago ('60s and '70s). Since then he has been an early promoter behind some of Australia's best known bands. I can only find references this far for AC/DC so I have removed INXS, Air Supply and the rest until I have citations for them. He is now an entrepreneur in tourism, with two retreats for honeymooners. He is also still involved with music through his company Lifestyle Entertainment. I have read Wikipedia's five pillars, and understand the value of keeping things factual. As a writer and researcher, I'm a huge user of wikipedia, and want to keep the standards up. I feel the new introduction sums up Gene Pierson's bio a lot better than it did previously. The previous one sentence was inadequate. I hope you agree. Is it a suitable chart? While it is a listing of popularly voted selections by listeners of a national radio station with a huge response (pro rata population size). But it ain't based on "sales or broadcast outlets from multiple sources".

On a related note, have you seen Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Frontier Touring Company this? Would have thought that they'd be notable enough, but we have to ensure that we don't just bomb the article with brief mentions, ie no more "the Joe Bloggs is touring in August thanks to the FTC" style refs. Fairfax news store is down at the moment, so I can't find stuff there. Pity that McFarlane's encyclopedia focuses only on bands, not the ancillary music industry. Hi Dan!
Except for cricket and the footy, I don't watch much TV, but a few weeks ago I had the interesting experience of seeing an advert that mentioned mamils followed by another advert that used a slowed-down version of Don't Change, and then a news story about the Parkes Elvis Festival.
Back in the day, I thought INXS were "too commercial" and quite possibly "too Australian"... but I will be glued to the telly when that mini-series is finally on.

microbreweries

I note that you have made a series of similar edits to a number of articles on microbreweries. I have to question why you have converted a specific infobox (breweries) to a more generic infobox (companies) and why you've changed a specific description microbrewery to a generic description of brewery. Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2014_April_2#Category:Microbreweries - consensus to remove the microbreweries category as too subjective. Wikipedia:WikiProject_Beer/Guidelines are to use {{Infobox company}}. While removing the microbrewery cat I'm also converting the infobox, and doing minor tidying, such as removing "located in" as not concise per WP:TERSE, and being more precise and less subjective in describing the brewery as a brewery rather than "craft" / "micro" / "premier" brewery, etc, as those terms are not globally secure. The "Australian rock" article needs a lot of help. It suffers form a severe lack of sourcing and the stylistics could be improved a good bit. There does not appear to be much high-level oversight on that site. Nonetheless, it is commendable in its scope and breadth--it has a lot of helpful information, and no doubt, has the potential to become a great article. Good question, I was guided by AllMusic and didn't do a track-by-track at APRA. ASCAP Ace provides two versions of that title: one by Furyll Purkiss and another by Brendon Moeller of Beat Pharmacy. BMI Repertoire search (here) gives four versions:1 by Fernie Apodaca/Gavin Jon Beiber for Conspiracy Three, 2 by Frank Luther, 3 by Robert Robb/Bruce Williams 4 by Jerome Baldassari/Dale Cockerell.
