A tag has been placed on Mia Riddle, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Mia Riddle and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Marcusmax (talk) 20:55, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Mia Riddle

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Mia Riddle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Waterden (talk) 21:06, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mia Riddle

Hiya. I've moved this to User:Davidjmerrill/Sandbox so you can work on it. Please check out the following that may help you;

The article fails to assert why this group is notable or significant. Follow up the guidelines and give the article a going over, remembering to cite reliable third party sources for the content. Then feel free to ask me to review. Pedro :  Chat  21:20, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note but "they've toured the UK" is not really much of an assertion of importance. So have I, but I'm not notable :) Pedro :  Chat  21:30, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This link here might help you get a good start, [1]. I am glad to see you seem to have good intentions. -Marcusmax (talk) 21:54, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - Just a friendly reminder about how we use links to websites other than Wikipedia. We place them in the "External links" section except in a few rare occasions. I noticed on the Aptos, California article there were a few links to the schools in the area. One good trick is to check to see if there is an article on the item first. That way an internal link can be used. E_dog95' Hi ' 04:03, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
