Notability of Waleed[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Waleed, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Waleed seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Waleed, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 08:17, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Waleed Ehsanul Karim[edit]

Waleed Ehsanul Karim, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Waleed Ehsanul Karim satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Waleed Ehsanul Karim and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Waleed Ehsanul Karim during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. License tagging for Image:Waleed Ehsanul Karim.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Waleed Ehsanul Karim.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:05, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Waleed Ehsanul Karim 2.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Fastily (talk) 06:17, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Waleed Ehsanul Karim.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:06, 14 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 06:06, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Lost World (1960 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Graham. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Abu naser requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://abunaserphotography.com/index2.html#/biography. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. F-86 Sabre Picture[edit]

Assalamulaikum Brother, i have noticed you're engaged in a conflict with someone on the F-86 Sabre article on the picture quality. Are you related to Ehsanul Karim by the way? Moreover, I'm developing the article on Karim's No. 17 Squadron so if you have any more pictures of him during operation desert Hawk (e.g- Gun cam footage of his strafing runs, Articles, his missions, do contribute). also you can always use this picture on the F-86 sabre page:- Pakistani_F-86_Sabres link: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=Pakistan+F-86&title=Special:MediaSearch&type=image Pr0pulsion 123 (talk) 14:22, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks brother. I am related to Waleed. I have many photos taken by him and his colleagues, some of which are from 17th Squadron. Anyway, I think, I wasn't in a conflict with anyone. I just said that my Image has a "complete" Pakistani sabre from 1965 than any other photos. Waleed Ehsanul Karim was the youngest F-86 Sabre pilot in the world (mentioned in that article). So there can be an image of him in the article. Anyway, don't hesitate to contact me for any further information. Dawoodkarim (talk) 15:46, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am facing problems with an article created by me named, Mohammad Ziauddin (army officer). I have submitted, 11 references and a book (biography book) of Col Zia in support of the article. These edits to not comply with policy. See MOS:INFOBOXFLAG and MOS:ICONDECORATION. This is not about the information not belonging in the article or having sources. It is about the misuse of icons in the infobox. MB 18:02, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK! But MOS:INFOBOXFLAG is not conclusive. I can agree with flag, but can't find reason for deleting the ranks, which he had achieved. Dawoodkarim (talk) 18:19, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What about gallantry award? MOS:INFOBOXFLAG does not have any information on Gallantry Ribbons Dawoodkarim (talk) 18:23, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The consensus is that award icons in infoboxes are just MOS:ICONDECORATION. You can ask again at WT:MILHIST if you won't take my word for it. MB 15:41, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have seen similar Rank and Awards in may personalities' pages! So what's wrong with this particular page? Dawoodkarim (talk) 18:12, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It does not comply with current consensus. They had been widely used in this way, and you still see them in other infoboxes because no one has removed them yet. See WP:OTHERCONTENT. MB 18:49, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Mohammad Ziauddin (army officer),is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I did this rather than removing the uncited material in the article, which I felt would be more disruptive. When you have the required sourcing (and every assertion needs a source), and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. October 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Mohammad Ziauddin (army officer). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. – Joe (talk) 09:29, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Now I understand. What is the way to undone the copy paste? Dawoodkarim (talk) 10:13, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's okay, I've already fixed it. – Joe (talk) 22:00, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Mohammad Ziauddin (army officer)[edit]

Hello, Dawoodkarim, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username GeoffreyT2000, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Mohammad Ziauddin (army officer), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mohammad Ziauddin (army officer).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|GeoffreyT2000}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

This is a famous person and the first doctor in Cox's Bazar region who was known for his philanthropic works and treatments. He was the first Indian commander in Chittagong CMH after world war 2. I don't understand why this is selected for deletion when it is a valid article! Dawoodkarim (talk) 05:16, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a 15 years old topic with many valid references. He was a famous pilot and his story is included in many books. He was the first East Pakistani to be selected for Sword of Honour in Pakistan Air Force which was a formidable one. I don't understand why this is selected for deletion when it is a valid article! A tag has been placed on Colonel Dr. M. M. Rahman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. I have written this article on a famous person in the region of Cox's Bazar. People must about him and his works. He is not a living person, hand has significant contribution in Bangladesh history. I don't find any clear reason for deletion. You could improve this, but deleting is not a solution. Hope you would understand. Dawoodkarim (talk) 05:09, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing of Fazlul Karim (lawyer)[edit]

  1. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Further information is available in the policy on edit-warring.
  2. The material which you have repeatedly restored to the argument was removed because it is unsourced, as you will see if you read Onel5969's edit summary when he removed it. Wikipedia policy is that content of an article which was removed because it lacks a reference to a source must not be restored without providing a reliable source. Therefore please either add citations to one or more reliable sources supporting the statements you have posted, or else remove them. JBW (talk) 16:25, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The information that was deleted have been from these books
History of Cox's Bazar by Advocate Dulal Chowdhury, Printed 1987, Page 45, 47 and 75
Coksho Bazarer Itihash by Prof Nur Ahmed, May 1988
Smaraniyo Baraniyo (Chakaria-Pekua) by Anowar Hossain, Printed Sept 2003, Page 77 and 81
Now, what is the way to include them as those are valid information. Dawoodkarim (talk) 18:12, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
