Hey, just because you lost doesn't mean you need to rate it low importance. :P

I just saw it in my watchlist and thought it was funny. JKBrooks85 (talk) 10:29, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

I just added the importance parameter to {{WikiProject Georgia Tech}} and I'm still figuring out what to rate things. Regardless of the fact that we lost, I think it's ready to be a featured article. Thus the also rating it A-class. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 19:55, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
I guessed it was something like that. JKBrooks85 (talk) 23:01, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Urbanspoon

The article Urbanspoon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It's a commercial product for which the article does not justify notability in the text, and is missing any 3rd party references.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sophus Bie (talk) 07:18, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

GAN notice

Hi Disavian, you currently have at least one article up a WP:GAN in the Sports and recreation section. In an attempt to clear out the backlog there, User:Wizardman asked all sports WikiProjects to review at least two articles from that section. I'm now going around and asking anybody with an article nominated under Sports and recreation to review at least one article in that section to help us clear the backlog out so your articles can finally be reviewed faster! iMatthew talk at 15:10, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Clemson fan vandalism

You might be interested to note that the same Clemson fan SPA (CobraGeek) that reverted the addition of factual material from the Clemson – Georgia Tech rivalry article (namely, the updated series record) is doing the same at the Clemson Tigers football article. Just thought you might want to keep an eye on that. 129.252.69.40 (talk) 16:36, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Diablo II Soundtrack, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.vgmrush.com/album.php?id=224. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 02:22, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi! This image was never reviewed and now it has an unfree license. Did you ever get a permission? Please leave a note on Commons if you did (I will probably forget to look here). If not we should delete this image. --MGA73 (talk) 19:56, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

It was correctly licensed when I uploaded it. Chances are the flickr uploader has changed the licence since then. Thus, I'd be okay with having it deleted. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 00:50, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok. Thank you. I nominated the file for deletion. Just to get a second opinion :-) --MGA73 (talk) 21:18, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Georgia Tech Ice Hockey. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Georgia Tech Ice Hockey. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:28, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:DealsPlus Homepage.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:DealsPlus Homepage.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 07:54, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Luckie@Hemphill?

Regarding The Varsity's original location at Georgia Tech, where do these two roads meet? From Google Maps, it appears Luckie St. ends at North Ave. and continues NW as Tech Pkwy., and that Hemphill runs from Ferst Dr. NNW to Northside Dr., with the two never even meeting. Assuming the campus roads have since been chopped up for new buildings, where did these two meet in the past?  –radiojon (talk) 17:24, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Approximately where Tech Parkway and North Avenue (Atlanta) meet today. I did a bit of a mashup that you can have a look at here: Georgia Tech 1911-2010Disavian (talk/contribs) 08:29, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
That's very interesting! I like the overlay. It appears that Hemphill is a continuation of Luckie, which is in turn a continuation of Auburn Avenue. (It reminds me that because half the streets are named Peachtree, the other half have five names to make up for it.) Thanks. Also, since Luckie/Hemphill actually had a corner with North rather than with each other, which corner was it on (NW, NE, SW, SE)?  –radiojon (talk) 16:16, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Disavian! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 939 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
