How does X work?
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I have read numerous of the relevant explanations and have replied to the two issues raised but not received any answer showing that these have been read. What am I supposed to do to satisfy the aspects appearing (but in my view not being) critical to some or to automated mechanisms? Kind regards, Doubledoc (talk) 07:58, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
- We are all volunteers here, so a message you posted three hours ago isn't going to necessarily be viewed immediately. Please be patient.
- As for the copyright concerns - Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and while it is true that the non-infringing text can be left behind, often that text is so small in comparison with the copied text that it makes more sense to just scrap the entire thing and start over. In light of your recent attempts, I would highly suggest using the Article Wizard to create a Draft, which is less likely to be deleted and you can get feedback from experienced editors. However, drafts can be deleted if they directly copy another source. It does not matter where it comes from or how it got there; if the text is on another website and does not explicitly state that it is free to reproduce, then it cannot be on Wikipedia. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 14:53, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Christiane WOOPEN
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Christiane WOOPEN, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of http://www.ethikrat.org/about-us/members/christiane-woopen. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 02:28, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

Mr. Guye (talk) 18:59, 7 February 2016 (UTC)- Congrats on the new article. In the future, while it may seem minor, please don't remove the MfD deletion notice. The discussion was still live until it was closed today and a comment on the MFD page would have been enough to get it closed early since it was all a moot point. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 08:46, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
Sorry - I did not do anything of that kind intentionally and do still not know what you actually mean. It would be good to understand that better for a next time. Can you elaborate, please? Kind regards, Doubledoc (talk) 01:20, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
