Robert Whitehead picture[edit]
Hi DulcetTone. Thanks for the compliment on my old talk page. The image was from a magazine and spread over two pages so it had to be joined in the middle - you may be able to see it if you look closely enough.
I uploaded quite a few images and if you check earlier version of my talk page you'll find some links. You'll also see one of the reasons I decided to leave Wikipedia. If you need to contact me tho' you can still, via my e-mail link .

dreadnoughtproject.org[edit]
Hi, I've just removed the links you added to dreadnoughtproject.org to the articles on various battleships and battlecruisers. As that website has very little content and appears to be a wiki, I don't think that it meets the requirements of a suitable external link (WP:EL). Java's Wheel[edit]
I removed the section of the HMS Java's page that dealt with her wheel being installed on the USS Constitution. While you are most certainly correct, the reference was to the Talk page. I also noted that the USS Constitution's page mentions the wheel being installed with a ref, but does not follow up with its replacement. If you can undue my edit and replace the ref I would appreciate it, and adding that information to the USS Constitution's page seems the right path to take. I am breaking one of my strongly held principals to never edit WP again (I am an ex-editor) so please understand why I don't do this myself. Battle of Coronel[edit]
Thanks for the edit. This article is a real disaster area, it has suffered from the common Wikipedia problem of editors enthusiastically adding content with little regard to where it belongs in the article. This often has the consequence of vast amounts of repeated material. I'm attempting to tidy the thing up a bit; any help would be appreciated. (collateral damage is almost inevitable) I feel that as it stands the article is over-reliant on Castles of Steel... I think I will get From Dreadnought to Scapa Flow ou of the library. And if he says nothing about Cradock steaming in merely to deplete Spee's stock of ammunition, I will take great pleasure in deleting that supposition.TheLongTone (talk) 14:35, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Dear DulcetTone, I've noted with pleasure the improvements you have made to the Infoboxes as regards the three classes of "160-footer" in the British Navy. I think that you're an editor with the Dreadnought Project. I've noted that in the Project, the three classes are all merged together and described as the "160-footer" Class. As this is plainly not a single class, do you think you could amend the entries for these thirteen boats in the Project?
