If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Welcome![edit]

Hello, EW2552, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was EcoWorld, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, EW2552. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page EcoWorld, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GPL93 (talk) 11:58, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Apologies for the problems for this account, I truly understand that this account is not for any promoting material and the mistakes made will not be repeated in futures. I intend to contribute info regarding real estate topic if I am unblocked

Decline reason:

You won't be unblocked to further edit about things related to your conflict of interest and paid editing status. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road for your Wikipedia career. If you want to edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:53, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

The topics we want to edit are mostly related to cultures, foods, places, and people in Asia. We will be wise and careful about the content we would contribute to and minimize the conflict of interest that might happen. EW2552 (talk) 03:11, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Accounts are single use only. And not only will you minimize conflict of interest, you must state your conflicts, and actively avoid editing them directly. If you have been paid you must say so, and who paid you. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 17:51, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Request reason:

Understood that this account is for single use only and any promotional materials are prohibited, hence I will not further edit about things related to my conflict of interest. This account will not be using to serve one interest or organisation only, but to contribute more personal interest related topics such as cultures, movies, musics, foods, and places (especially for Asia countries). All the new articles will be submitted for review prior before published to ensure it is not against conflict of interest and is not promotional. We will also change the name if unblock is allowed. EW2552 (talk) 10:31, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The unblock request still is full of "we"s and other indications that the editors aren't understanding that only one individual may be behind a specific account. Even if they create individual accounts, I have some concerns about potential meat-puppetry, though that's not a certainty, so should be considered by a future admin in the event the other issue is sufficiently addressed.
