Hello EnjoyBrowser557. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You can ask more questions at the Teahouse or the Help Desk. Mike Turnbull (talk) 10:04, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, those are links? Welp in terms of this, kudos to you who gave me a greeting message. I will be contributing to Wikipedia with recent edits. /EnjoyBrowser557 (talk) (contributiuons) 21:21, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

English Fluency

[edit]

On the WP:Teahouse page, you stated "My only languages I speak is English", yet your English is very stilted. Are you fluent in any other languages? Fabrickator (talk) 17:03, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Fabrickator Just to be fair though, I am not fluent in any other languages, such as French. Since, my only language is English, but however, mines is not very perfect despite the ability to cite sources and add content. /EnjoyBrowser557 (talk) (contributiuons) 21:24, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not to belabour the point, but I am of the impression that you may, in fact, be – or else be using – some sort of rudimentary artificial intelligence to communicate on this Wikipedia. If that is the case, it is encouraged that you will promptly disclose this fact in a clear and unambiguous manner, for the benefit of other users. Thanks-- Quisqualis (talk) 02:29, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Quisqualis Thank you for notifying me, to be just honest, I am not using AI or anything, I am using my own words to describe on community and on my userpage. Sp, that is not a disclosure and my own coppurtunity on improving my English language on Wikipedia. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributiuons) 03:25, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
English does not strictly refer to Standard English. It is entirely possible this user natively speaks a different dialect or creole of English. Miyika .₊̣̇.ಇ/ᐠ。ᆽ。ᐟ \ 12:50, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Miyika Wow user, that is so correct, maybe I speak a different English dialect, plus my own goal is trying to communicate editors in fluent English as well as understanding those lessons on Wikipedia. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 14:34, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What dialect of English makes constructions like Since, my only language is English, but however, mines is not very perfect despite the ability to cite sources and add content likely from anyone whose first language is English? Valereee (talk) 19:36, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would say various dialects, including the first language I learned in the early past. However, that dialect or creole depends on geography, proving that there are different locations found, including slang, jargon, idioms, and other types of vocabulary. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 19:54, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee A sentient entity would recognize that the question pertained to the dialect of the subject. Only a non-sentient entity would answer the question as though it were not a question about the subject's own dialect. Fabrickator (talk) 20:54, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure about sentient entity, might research soon or later in a meantime. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 21:48, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please update your user page to include a declaration that you are not a sentient entity. Thank you. Fabrickator (talk) 00:22, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I already did updated on my userpage. Kudos to you. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 04:58, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
...he was joking. do you know what sentience is? lettherebedarklight晚安 13:05, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So English is not your only language. I am a little befuddled here. Why in the world would you tell us English is your only language when clearly it isn't your first language? Knowing other languages isn't a problem. In fact it's a plus. Valereee (talk) 16:44, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would apologize for confusing you and others, but the whole reason that my English is my only and first language I have written and spoken, because this is the only language I am completely fluent in, despite that there are many English varieties in each nation. It is just the fact that I have not used other languages very frequently and often, instead, I use these other languages rarely and totally seldom. Would you even please take a view at here: (1) /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 16:54, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
let me just say that this is not fluent english. lettherebedarklight晚安 16:58, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Lettherebedarklight What do you mean non-fluent English? Is this intentional? /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 16:59, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
by "not fluent english" i mean strange replies like Is this intentional? lettherebedarklight晚安 17:02, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What language are you referring to when you say including the first language I learned in the early past? Valereee (talk) 17:24, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My language I am referring is the English language, I still use this language today as the only one. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 17:39, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fabrickator @Lettherebedarklight Now too bad, I am blocked right now due to this one listed below. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 16:55, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Lettherebedarklight The two AI bot users I have observed on here share some fairly obvious behaviors. Of course, you may still want to engage the AI user in conversation to get a better feel for how they behave. One thing that's cool is that you don't have to have any compunctions about hurting their feelings. Fabrickator (talk) 03:57, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@fabrickator: i can't tell whether you're joking or not. lettherebedarklight晚安 06:08, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not joking, however, I am not using AI, I have the attempt to write sentences on very fluent English. Still not kidding, but this is not a bot user. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 06:14, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
sorry, i'm not asking you. lettherebedarklight晚安 06:30, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@lettherebedarklight Did you see what EnjoyBrowser557 did there? He assisted me in responding to you, and in doing so, he both demonstrated understanding of what you had written as well as great fluency in composing the response. I will be awaiting his request for assistance. Fabrickator (talk) 07:14, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@fabrickator: i'm sorry, you're going to need to explain what you mean in simpler terms. lettherebedarklight晚安 07:22, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Lettherebedarklight Just to be fair right now, I would like to agree with you with that reasoning. I do not have the ability to know that how to explain that demonstration in more simpler terms. If smart already, one should explain it in complex terms of this meaning, you are all right already. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 02:11, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i am not talking to you. lettherebedarklight晚安 02:49, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

EnjoyBrowser557 lettherebedarklight I realize that it was not the intent to solicit a response from EnjoyBrowser557, but I am okay with EnjoyBrowser557 participating in this interaction. I am curious to find out more about the background of EnjoyBrowser557. This relates both to personal matters as well as to experience that would be generally pertinent to contributing to Wikipedia. Although you have stated some general goals, the main interest seems to be very generic, such as "adding content to articles". If there's no interest more specific than that, but you have a fairly high level of familiarity with the English language, that could prove quite helpful. By the way, does your current skill level enable you to determine whether a claim is supported by a particular source? That is an example of something which could itself be very valuable. If not, then please do go ahead and tell us some more about your areas of interest. Thank you.

Fabrickator (talk)03:39, 8 June 2023‎ (UTC) (signature/timestamp appended manually)[reply]

@Fabrickator @Anarchyte Yes, please. Just to be fair that, I have a fairly high level of familiarity with the English language, this proves that I am able to work well in some areas. Furthermore, every editor has a limited sphere of competence. And there is something valuable to me, such as finding new information and ability to cite sources. That could have a chance for an any admin to unblock me, sine I prove that I am well-intentioned competent editor. Just keep in mind though, my only language I currently speak is English, plus there are basic grammar structure and other rules we need to follow. So, any admin should unblock me. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 17:46, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
EnjoyBrowser557 Inasmuch as you have indicated an interest in the topic of retail stores, please indicate which categories of retail stores you are particularly interested in. Fabrickator (talk) 18:55, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fabrickator My particular interests are clothing stores, bookstores, groceries, discount stores, video rental stores, gift shops, newspaper stands, accessory stores, luxury stores, and as much I can list anymore. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 20:21, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@EnjoyBrowser557 Is your interest primarily in retail stores that are still in business, or in retail stores that have gone out of business? What aspects of a retail store primarily interest you? Fabrickator (talk) 20:48, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For the first question, I would say retail still in business, for the second question, the aspects that interest me are the history, overview, culture, the location of the origin, inventions, store design fronts, what is on trending, background, also the names of the retail companies, and what type of products they sell for. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 22:42, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fabrickator Those are all the aspects that interest me for retail. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 00:22, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@EnjoyBrowser557 I think it's fair to characterize your interest in retail stores as being essentially all aspects of every extant retailer, which strengthens my belief that you're not actually a sensient entity. What do you think about me, do you think that I could be a sentient entity? Fabrickator (talk) 00:58, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You look spectacular and ready to edit Wikipedia. In my opinion, being fair, you would likely become an sentient entity. That could apply to me furthermore in detail. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 02:45, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstars

[edit]

@EnjoyBrowser557, do not overlook the fact that you can give yourself a barnstar when the situation warrants. For instance:

The Userpage Barnstar
For creating an informative userpage. Quisqualis (talk) 02:48, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh boy, thanks for giving me a barnstar. I would like to appreciate it if I did all of my intelligent work and improve on my contributions. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributiuons) 03:26, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

I have some feedback regarding a couple of your "edit summary" entries.

Edit summaries generally ought to stand alone. Somebody looking at an edit summary isn't going to be looking at the edit summaries you've recently made to other articles, though referencing other edits of the same article is sensible, since looking at a series of edits in article history is an ordinary use case. Fabrickator (talk) 06:59, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you can inform me that I might require improvement on edit summaries and especially outside mainspace. I will create a meaningful explanation if I made this edit. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 16:14, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I should have identified specific examples that I had in mind, such as the comment "Just like others ...". There's no context for that, so it's not much help. The other part of that same edit summary, "I updated the article with information" is barely any better. I'd hope for some clue that gives me an idea as to whether I'm likely to have any interest in that edit. Since your change involves "information", tell me something about the information. Maybe you're not actually changing any "information", maybe you're adding or updating citations. This is just a case of applying some common sense. Fabrickator (talk) 16:42, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You got it, as on the last reply, I will improve in a meantime. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 17:33, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit of City-state

[edit]

Please explain the logic in adding the fact that Monaco is a global hub of money laundering (copied from the Monaco article) to city-state in your 25 May 2023 edit? Note how the pre-existing Monaco-related content in city-state is closely tied to the characterization of Monaco as a "city-state". Without such a connection, this content doesn't belong in City-state. Fabrickator (talk) 20:50, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Here is my explanation: Monaco is a global hub of money laundering, when I add information, I copied the parts of the detail from Monaco. Since, I do not definitely have considerable amount of time for finding new information, I decided to use information from Monaco article lead section to increase the detail in the content contained. I am trying to learn on how to copy the text from this article to another article, so that there is numerous detail available to any reader on Wikipedia. Furthermore, I just wanted to know that adding some related content to Monaco would give an idea about what is that specific nation. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 22:26, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am not interested in your explanations of why you make inappropriate edits, I am interested in having you cease and desist from making inappropriate edits. This idea about "adding information" I think may be misleading you. Certainly, actual improvements to articles are desirable, but making an article longer is not synonymous with making it better.
Actually, the rationalizations you provide (e.g. I do not definitely have considerable amount of time for finding new information ... [so I] copy the text from this article to another article) are wholly inappropriate. You're free to choose which articles you want to work on, but this does not mean that it's okay to be self-centered about this. Others may say I shouldn't scare away the newbies, but that doesn't mean we should tolerate edits made without a sensible reason. Fabrickator (talk) 23:08, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh well, I might contribute on improvements, however I have the freedom to select articles to work and edit usefully without vandalism or spam inserted. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 07:12, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't have the time to make a change that actually improves an article, then your time is certainly better spent by leaving the article alone. Really, what is the point in making a change that doesn't improve the article? Do you figure this gets you to some higher set of privileges sooner? Fabrickator (talk) 07:39, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My point on making a change on that article is to update it. I figure that out, I will get some of these higher set of privileges sooner. I know I am going to do when I edit articles and make modifications. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 14:46, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, welcome to Wikipedia.
Please make sure that you are not editing for the sole reason of getting additional privileges. Every permission except autoconfirmed and extended autoconfirmed requires you to make a request that is then handled by administrators. Speaking from my own experience in reviewing such requests, admins do not enjoy encountering editors that edit only to gain permissions rather than to improve the encyclopedia. Anarchyte (talk) 09:36, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I promise that I am not editing Wikipedia for the only reason of getting additional privileges. My own intention is to edit articles to update them by adding information and content to these articles. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 14:37, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CIR. Any admin should feel free to lift this block if you think this is a well-intentioned competent editor. Valereee (talk) 17:48, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee Just wow, you unfortunately blocked me on Wikipedia? That just feels so incorrect to me. If you all believe that I am a well-intentioned competent editor, you might feel free to life my block. So anyways, my own goal for this website is to contribute much further on Wikipedia and edit many articles in order to add content from sources cited. Just in case, I have my own informative userpage, and I utilized a ton of userboxes to add in my userpage, so others have the ability to understand my interests and occupations on Wikipedia. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 18:53, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Furthermore, I did not vandalize Wikipedia nor create personal attacks. Plus, I contributed a few on articles, so I must have been only editing in my talk page, only to reply some. Next time when my block is lifted, I will definitely need to make more contributions to articles and pages rather than talk pages and other discussion boards. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 19:33, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you all believe that I am a well-intentioned competent editor
the problem here is that we believe that you are a well-intentioned incompetent editor. lettherebedarklight晚安 06:35, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Lettherebedarklight Why would you claim that I am well-intentioned incompetent editor? I do not believe so. In my opinion, my focus is to contribute more on articles rather than pages, and I definitely need to stop talking about how fluent I am on English. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 08:55, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can't help but agree with Valereee's block here. The discussion in #English Fluency is incomprehensible and a core requirement of contributing to an encyclopedia is that you can understand the content and express yourself in a manner that can be understood by others. I'm not saying you have ill intentions, I'm just saying that AI generated text and poor Google Translate translations produce similar results to what you're typing. I suggest you try to improve your fluency and return in a year or so. In the meantime, you can read the policies you keep asking Teahouse to reiterate. Anarchyte (talk) 03:29, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Anarchyte @Valereee @Lettherebedarklight Would you please explain how would I even improve in English fluency? Please give me advice to do so. How is the discussion in #English Fluency incomprehensible? And if I return to Wikipedia after one year, do I create a new account or I would just appeal a unblock for me for this to happen? Do I have the ability to ask question in Wikipedia Teahouse? However, you need to address on first, so the question is "What are the basic, simple, and later complex steps on improving my English fluency? When it comes to only speaking English, do I need to write in clear English?" So, if my block is indefinite and I lack a justified reason to appeal an unblock, due to the fact it will be declined in just no time for editing privileges, what do I required to do if I do not have anything to do on Wikipedia during my unexpired block, besides editing my own talkpage? I am taking a wikibreak, however my language I only speak completely and mainly is English language. How do I need more lessons to fix my fluency on English? If you have the ability to answer that... /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 06:12, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
by taking some english lessons, i would imagine. lettherebedarklight晚安 06:29, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
More in detail of English lessons? /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 06:39, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
A strong understanding of English comes primarily from reading and writing. Speaking is important, but speech involves colloquialisms and phrases that you would not find in prose. It's an entirely separate skillset. If you're younger, you will likely begin to encounter harder words and phrases (such as sentience) as you progress through your education. This will improve your ability to express your thoughts to different audiences. Anarchyte (talk) 06:49, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am your user assistant

[edit]

@EnjoyBrowser557 I have volunteered for the role of being your designated user assistant. In this role, I can help you to do things which you either do not know how to do, or which you may be unsure about how to do them well, or even to do things which you are currently prohibited from doing. So if there's some way I can help you with adding information to an article or in some other way, please respond, and I will be prepared to assist you. Fabrickator (talk) 04:11, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, alright, kudos for notifying me. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 06:02, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Let me reiterate my interest in acting as your user assistant and thereby helping you to develop your Wikipedia skills. This can be a particular challenge for a non-sentient entity, especially in light of the fact that your account has been blocked from editing. Just message me here on your talk page with your request. Fabrickator (talk) 00:55, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fabrickator How do I develop my Wikipedia skills, as you mentioned above? /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 06:54, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This request is really outside the scope of the role of user assistant. Assuming that you were a sentient entity, you would develop skills, at least to some degree, by trial and error. Based on your interests, you would attempt to make some sort of contribution, and you would get some feedback. Given that I am acting as your user assistant, I might provide that feedback. Only you can decide where your interests lie. Fabrickator (talk) 13:57, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Fabrickator However, what other feedback do I definitely require to select? /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 01:37, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly is a user assistant, @Fabrickator? Valereee (talk) 13:03, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee Yes, I would even agree with you on what is user assistant. I have never been familiar of the definition of that role and I definitely require more research on purpose of user assistant. I need a user to explain that further and recent examples of it based on wording. /EnjoyBrowser557 (userpage) (talk) (contributions) 06:21, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
