Welcome to Wikipedia, Escofferymusic![edit]

I'm Seagull123 and I want to welcome you to Wikipedia!

Wikipedia is an amazing community adventure which is constantly being edited. There are many different versions of Wikipedia for many different languages, and the English version has 6,823,980 articles which are written by volunteers like you and me! We even have a newspaper, The Signpost, to keep you up to date with news and new developments. Making your first steps on Wikipedia can be hard sometimes, so if you need any help, don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page or ask a question on your talk page under a {{help me}} tag. Someone will help you soon!

Wikipedia has five pillars which summarise Wikipedia's fundamental principles:

  1. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia
  2. Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view
  3. Wikipedia is free content that anyone can use, edit, and distribute
  4. Editors should treat each other with respect and civility
  5. Wikipedia has no firm rules

Hi there, and thanks for your recent edits on Wikipedia! I do want to point out some of the policies here about conflicts of interest (COIs), though. Because you have an article about yourself here, you have a conflict of interest. Generally, you should refrain from editing articles with which you have a COI, but if you want to edit the article about yourself, you should find reliable sources and either propose changes at the article's talk page (adding a {{Request edit}} template with your request), or - if the edit is simple (eg: correcting an obvious mistake) - do it yourself. If you want a simple guide on how to deal with COIs on Wikipedia, please see this page, or if you want to see how you personally can help Wikipedia with the article about yourself, see this page. One final bit of advice: you should disclose that you have a COI, and insert this userbox on your user page. If you need any help with this, please let me know! Also, we do welcome your contributions here at Wikipedia, and if you want any help at all with either editing or using Wikipedia, or you have any concerns about the article about yourself, you can click this link to ask a question, or just leave a message on my talk page. Thanks!  Seagull123  Φ  17:01, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
