You're welcome

[edit]

It's always my pleasure to welcome somebody new into English Wikipedia. Yes, it's vast, but there are a relatively small number of contributers. You'll also find that, if you tend to edit a few favorite subjects, that you'll run into the same editors very often. Once again, welcome! – ClockworkSoul 23:13, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Landeshauptmänner on the noticeboard

[edit]

Hi Dreadlady,

another good place to talk about naming conventions etc. for Austrian political offices could be the German-speaking noticeboard or its talk page. We don't have enough Austrians participating there yet, and I would like to invite you to have a look. One of our open tasks is to make sure the English Wikipedia has articles about every Austrian Landeshauptmann (as far as I can tell, three of them are still missing). Hope to see you at the noticeboard, Kusma (討論) 23:51, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

italics

[edit]

Please stop putting song names in italics. Album titles go in italics, song names go in speech marks. If you do not stop I shall be forced to present you with a trick pie. Upon cutting the pie, birds and wasps will fly out, hitting you in the face and neck and eye and you will be very confused. It is a trick pie. Fairly warned be you, sez I. --Crestville 17:23, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know what you mean. I prefer them in italics too, but for sum reason, it's convention that they go in speach marks. You could try & change it & I'd support you but I'm not sure how you'd go about doing that and I'm sure enough arseholes would oppose. I don't really have the facilities for "trick pies" right now (I got the idea from The Mighty Boosh which I saw live last night and which was amazing, sexy and fucky as fuck) but may I interest you in a joke cake? Or a prank muffin? Or a rohipnoled swan?--Crestville 17:53, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, you are rediculusly true to your word and for this I love you.--Crestville 17:24, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's hardly *impossible* for people to see the changes. I improve as I go along. I don't deliberately make small edits, but am just trying to improve the article . Trebor 19:07, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Change it back if you think it's overdone. I'm still fairly new to this Trebor 19:10, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alright?

Helping out with the Unassessed Wikipedia Biographies

[edit]

Seeing that you are an active member of the WikiBiography Project, I was wondering if you would help lend a hand in helping us clear out the amount of unassessed articles tagged with {{WPBiography}}. Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. Thank you! --Ozgod 20:23, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
