Your draft article, Draft:Pizza Island

Hello, Evedawn99. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Pizza Island".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! CptViraj (📧) 17:09, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing up the Cartoon Network and LGBT representation page

Its a page which has gone through a number of iterations, and now is divided into identities, whereas before it was divided into sections for shows. I just thought it would be easier for people to go by identities, noting in an edit back in September, "Massive reorganization here, so I can include more characters and not tie them to specific shows, as there are probably CN shows I didn't include. Where will the other content (which is about six pages long in Word) go? I haven't decided, but it definitely isn't lost, I can tell you that." I still have a bunch of stuff in a word doc, on my computer, but I've been busy with so much stuff that I haven't added it in anywhere at this point. --Historyday01 (talk) 02:31, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for the message!:) I am glad this article exists and appreciate the work you and other editors put into it. I like how it is mainly organized by identity and has "subcategories" for shows, it seems nice and neat that way. Hopefully this iteration makes it easy for people to find what they are looking for. Thanks again! Evedawn99 (talk) 02:58, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

Fosterfields

Wonderful work on Fosterfields! Did you see its Did You Know nomination? It can be seen here: Template:Did you know nominations/Fosterfields. This would put a fact from the article on the front page of Wikipedia. It needs 2,000 characters more of information added in order to qualify. Do you think there’s that much left to add? Best, Thriley (talk) 21:07, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Dear Thriley, thanks so much for the kind words - and thank you for creating the Fosterfields article last year!
I'm overjoyed to hear about the Did You Know nomination. I will try to chip away at it as much as I can with additional information. Is there a time limit for when the nomination will expire?
Regardless, I will continue to work during my free time. Thanks again, Evedawn99 (talk) 14:21, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
@Evedawn99: I would say it should be expanded over the next few days or so to qualify. You don’t have to do it all immediately, just a bit per day is fine to show it is currently being expanded. I’ll add some more too. Best, Thriley (talk) 21:03, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
@Evedawn99: There are a few sentences at the end of some of the paragraphs in the article which are not cited. Can you find citations for them? The article will then be ready for Did You Know. Best, Thriley (talk) 17:03, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
Hi Thriley, thanks! I was able to finish up adding the citations on the uncredited paragraphs today. I also added a bit of additional information and got rid of info that was redundant or couldn't be proven with cites. I hope it brings us a step closer. Thanks again, Evedawn99 (talk) 03:45, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
It looks wonderful. Thanks again! Thriley (talk) 17:29, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

Overlinking

Your additions to Fosterfields have introduced or reintroduced links that breach WP:MOSLINKS. Please go to the moslinks talk page and propose amendments to that styleguide if you want to persist with linking, for example "worlkshop". WP is not a dictionary. Tony (talk) 03:15, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

Boy is my face red. I appreciate the callout. I apologize to you and fellow editors for my overlinking, as I was ignorant of its negative effects. I realize the harm now, after reading "User:Tony1/Build your linking skills" and the MOSLINKS style guide. Thank you for telling me this now, and I will avoid making similar mistakes in the future. Evedawn99 (talk) 03:29, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

I hereby award you with the DYK medal for your work on Fosterfields. Thank you for your superb work! I look forward to working with you again. All the best, Thriley (talk) 01:36, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
Hooray! This is the first medal I've ever received on Wikipedia (and possibly outside of it)! This means so much to me. Agreed, I'm looking forward to more opportunities to collaborate! Thank you very much! Evedawn99 (talk) 14:24, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Fosterfields

On 20 May 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Fosterfields, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1973, Caroline Rose Foster donated her farm Fosterfields to the Parks Commission of Morris County, New Jersey to be preserved as a functioning farm from 1920? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Fosterfields. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Fosterfields), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. A tag has been placed on Max Fosh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Max Fosh (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Musicals

Should not be identified by the year of premiere in the opening sentence. Musicals may be composed in one year, premiered in a small theatre another, given a big production in still another year, and revived successfully in another. Which others have you seen, as I would like to correct them. -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:35, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

Oh, I see, thank you for alerting me to this, and I will keep this in mind moving forward. Before I edited, I had quickly checked my favorite musical, Grease as an example. Jersey Boys & 9_to_5_(Musical) appears incorrectly formatted as well and Urinetown mentions its premiere in its header sentence. I appreciate you reaching out and asking for others. Evedawn99 (talk) 01:33, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. Fixed. At least the Urinetown example is correct, even though I would not say the date in the opening sentence. -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:41, 20 June 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Hi Evedawn99! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Trisha Paytas that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Throast {{ping}} me! (talk | contribs) 21:39, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi Throast; oh, I see! Thank you very much for the clarification. I was erroneous in my belief that "minor edits" could include a sentence, and I understand now that they only include indisputable typographic or vandalism fixes. Thanks again for alerting me to this; I appreciate the information and will keep this in mind moving forward. The Fonz (talk) 21:43, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

Rosanna Duncan Lamb Revere moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Rosanna Duncan Lamb Revere, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:56, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello and thank you for the honest review. I appreciate the feedback regarding notability guidelines and will continue to chip away on the article draft when I have time. Thanks again and I appreciate the appraisal. The Fonz (talk) 14:00, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi! I recently created a draft for Larison’s Turkey Farm, a former restaurant in Chester, NJ. Thought you might be interested. Great work on all the articles you've been making. I was meaning to make an article for All Souls' Hospital for years! Best, Thriley (talk) 18:55, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

Hi Thriley! That's great to hear. I'm surprised you understand my taste in articles so well, as I'm fascinated by this new page and would love to research. I appreciate your kind words of praise too! Thank you so much for referring me to this and I look forward to learning more about this historic site as well as (hopefully) digging up some pre-1927 images for upload to Wikimedia Commons. Thanks again for thinking of me and I hope to learn more soon. The Fonz (talk) 00:53, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

DYK for Chauncey Yellow Robe

On 2 March 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Chauncey Yellow Robe, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1927, Native American activist Chauncey Yellow Robe (pictured) and the Lakota Sioux tribe "adopted" President Calvin Coolidge to thank him for supporting the 1924 Indian Citizenship Act? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Chauncey Yellow Robe. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Chauncey Yellow Robe), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Shriners and the Middle East

The "why" was basically 9-11. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 01:06, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for reminding me about that tag I left. I felt as though this was a topic that warranted further research, particularly in the specific ways the organization was affected following 9/11 as well as when these changes occurred. Your note reminded me to conduct this research further. I have since written more on Shriners as well as upgrading the Syria Mosque page; I hope you take a look (and edit as desired) and thanks again for the note. Hi Alison, thank you so much for the wonderful note. I am so flattered you left this message and so glad my contribution made a positive difference. I was not aware of Peter Freeman prior to finding his photograph, and after reading his article I now understand he inspired many people with his music and talents. I am glad his memory is being kept alive in small ways such as his addition to Fordite. Thanks again for your note, and may Peter Freeman and his music continue to be discovered, cherished, and treasured by all. The Fonz (talk) 04:34, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

Hi Thriley, thank you for alerting me to the creation of the article. I have added an infobox in the meantime. I forgot to upload a (subpar) image of the site which I took while passing it on the road last winter; I will remind myself to add this prior to its DYK nomination. Quotation marks

Please stop moving perios and commas to be inside quotation marks (except when the puncutation is part of the original quotation). That is not WP's writing style. See MOS:LQ. Doing it with material like ''some text here,'' more text here is especially off-kilter, as the marks are wikicode for italics, not quotation marks of any kind (and a comma or period has no purpose being given emphasis like that).  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  03:14, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Oops, thank you very much for the kind note and alert. I did not know this was against WP:MOS and I am grateful you have alerted me to this today. I hadn't even realized I have made edits on italics in the same fashion, but I suppose this was my mistake when using the visual editor. Understood, and now that I know this is incorrect, I will no longer make the same mistake moving forward. Again I appreciate your explanation and your time in letting me know.
