File permission problem with File:Ingmar De Vos, FEI President.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ingmar De Vos, FEI President.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 18:41, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

9 July 2015: FEI2015 (Nicole Sigrist, Webmaster) sent an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org regarding the permission issue for this image. FEI2015 (talk) 09:21, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that your draft got declined several times. I and the rest of the members of WikiProject Equine are willing to help you out on it and get it past AfC. We know that he is notable and we would like to help get the article to mainspace because we need it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on my talk (neigh) page. White Arabian Filly (Neigh) 00:09, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you very much for your message which sounds like the good news of the day. I have been struggling to get it approved. I just went through the changes you did and approved them (and thanked you both). Do you think it is worth adding a picture of Ingmar De Vos and HM King of Bahrain?. Thanks a lot for your help so far. Following your recommendation, I will change our userID, will wait till the page is ready to be published, ok for you?. NicoleFEI2015 (talk) 08:51, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It would probably be good to get the picture if you have the right licensing for it (if it's not released under certain license, it gets deleted). Waiting to change your username would work, although it's not a huge deal to do it. The problem with AfC is they get picky because they have to deal with so much stupid stuff sometimes they don't recognize needed articles. Plus, I don't think there are any horse people over there. I think the best thing to do is expand the article and maybe add some non-horsey sources like newspapers. It's ok to use sources in another language if you can read other languages (I can't). Hello, I realize that this page is now published .... is that correct? I did not submit it since my last post (holidays) and was about to do it today but it looks like it is now live. I would like to be sure. Many thanks for your help and support. Nicole Nicole1961 (talk) 06:36, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, User:Montanabw accepted it and it is now in mainspace as an official article. Congrats! If you have any questions, just let me know. White Arabian Filly Neigh 20:40, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ingmar De Vos has just been elected as IOC Member. I saw that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Killuminator had a new category on his page but I am wondering if I should also add a paragraph about his nomination + links to a few press releases and interviews which he gave. However, I would not like to violate any kind of rules so I am seeking for some help. In the past, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:White_Arabian_Filly was of great help.

Awaiting your comments, best, NicoleNicole1961 (talk) 08:27, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ingmar De Vos, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page RSA. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
