Orphaned fair use image (Image:Mobilink.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mobilink.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Image tagging for Image:World5.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:World5.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Non-free use disputed for Image:Afplogo.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Afplogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:55, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Indigologo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Indigologo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:25, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree Image:MINAR.jpg[edit]

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:MINAR.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 13:41, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The watermark does need to be removed. If the information in the standard template could be supplied that would be great. Do not use {{GFDL-self-with-disclaimers}} if you did not create the image, just use {{GFDL}} and explain the author has granted permission. It would be best if you could get an e-mail from the author stating that he specifically grants permission to use the image under the GFDL and post that e-mail with his contact info on the image talk page.

Standard template ==Summary== {{Information| |Description= |Source= |Date= |Author= |Permission= {{GFDL}} |other_versions= No }}

Hi. I am going through old cases on WP:PUI and processing them. Did you receive an email back from the copyright holder? Please see my note at PUI. Once you have received the note, it needs to be forwarded to permissions-en@wikimedia.org so that they can record it. Thanks. --B (talk)

Islam and religion.[edit]

I know quite a bit about many religions. No I am not just copy and pasting. Zazaban2 (talk) 00:31, 26 December 2007 (UTC) It is also worth mentioning that I have been editing wikipedia articles on Islam and other religions for nearly 2 years now. Zazaban2 (talk) 00:33, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We have pictures of a lot of people, like William Shakespeare, and Christopher Columbus. That are not accurate. There are not accurate pictures, so we use what we have. Zazaban2 (talk) 00:56, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requests for arbitration[edit]

I've deleted the case you created. To file a case, please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration. If the arbitrators accept it, a clerk will create the subpage. Picaroon (t) 03:14, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images of Muhammad[edit]

Ok Faraz, have you read the talk archives and see all the past polls? What makes you think anything different is going to happen? People are hugely in favour of respecting policies. This is really a non-issue now. --Matt57 (talkcontribs) 04:59, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you say I dont have any right to edit the Muhammad article? --Matt57 (talkcontribs) 05:54, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

salaam, The very fact that muslims have NO say in an open contribution site that insists on having an illustration of Mohammed (pbuh) is all the evidence you need to appreciate the value of developing and contributing to an islamic wiki, whilst still working on wikipedia. In the muslimwiki.com, there is NO and never will be illustrations of the prophet Muhammed (pbuh), And we can also use (PBUH)81.86.209.195 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 00:54, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2007[edit]

Your recent edits to Talk:Muhammad could give editors of Wikipedia the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that this is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a genuine dispute with the Community or its members, please use dispute resolution. —slakrtalk / 05:34, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I honestly don't care about the article or your dispute with it. Pure and simple, if you make legal threats, it is against policy. Period. This is the one realm where I and other admins are simply inflexible on the matter. Please consider resolving your disputes without making legal threats. --slakrtalk / 05:51, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just be sure to avoid canvassing while adhering to our policies. Remember, we're here to build consensus and consensus can change through process. I understand that this process might be frustrating at times, but if you remain civil and remember that we're all humans, we'll eventually get to an acceptable conclusion. --slakrtalk / 06:06, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

as noted above, was not intended as a literal threat - please keep in mind that even non-literal threats are taken seriously.. it would be best to avoid such statements in the future.

A friendly heads-up[edit]

Your recent edits on Talk:Adolf Hitler and Talk:The Holocaust are close to disrupting Wikipedia to drive home a point, and your comments on Talk:Muhammad, such as "i regard this as a cyber crusade", aren't very helpful. Please try to participate in a more congenial manner. Thanks! east.718 at 09:08, December 26, 2007

Minor edits[edit]

Hi. You have marked most of your recent edits as minor. This should only be done when reverting obvious vandalism, making spelling corrections, fixing formatting problems, and other changes that don't need to be inspected. You may have accidentally checked "Mark all edits minor by default" on your user preferences. To turn this setting off, click on "my preferences", click on the "Editing" tab, clear the "Mark all edits minor by default" checkbox, and click the "save" button. --B (talk) 16:30, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia due to numerous problems with the content and style of your edits, your behaviour towards other editors and your disruption of articles and project pages. Guy (Help!) 17:28, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

The points raised by me are accepted for further discussion "Hitler as Hero", i was targeted by a group of Admins who were pushing a agenda. see the talk page on Talk:Muhammad all these admins pushed an agenda and when i pin point there failures in meeting wikipedia policies they block me, also see [2]

Decline reason:

You engaged in off-site canvassing that has resulted in Talk:Muhammad being trolled for the last week. Any admin examining this should review Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive345#Muhammad and the petition linked therein. Your behavior has been nothing but disruptive - this has nothing to do with any cabal. — B (talk) 04:06, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You may have a valid point, but I'll be honest with you, any time I start hearing things about the cabal, my spidey senses start telling me that this user would be better not working with Wikipedia. How about this: instead of calling upon the cabal, you put together a cogent argument about why you should be unblocked, and, if you have violated any policies or guidelines quoted to you, you explain why you will no longer break them. Because if you're unwilling to abide by our policies, you don't have any part editing here. The Evil Spartan (talk) 03:01, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Manj[edit]

The article Manj has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Failure of WP:GNG. Article doesn't cite any verifiable sources. Probably made up by the creator no claim of significance. Many related articles like this have already been deleted or at the end of it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
