Thanks for putting up all the public domain images on the Cal Poly article! Taking some better pictures of campus has been on my to-do list for a while, but not any more =) Tyro 08:17, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've started a discussion about the image on the talk page. It's a nice image; but not a useful illustration for an article about the city. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 02:58, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for adding a more relevant image. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 03:51, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to say well done for uploading those images, they look septacular.

Photo requests

[edit]

FW, are you still up in Tacoma? If so I have some photo requests. If you're somewhere else, let me know and I'll come up with photo requests for that area. Are you the photographer? I didn't understand the explanation on your userpage. But I enjoyed the photos. Cheerios. ChildofMidnight (talk) 02:01, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kevin, How do I resubmit a corrected image? should I upload over the old one using the same file name? Sorry, I've never resubmitted before. Farwestern, 4 March 2010

You submit it as "Image name edit 1". I'll go notify all the opposers to reconsider their voted once it is up. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 19:59, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Kevin, just a few moments before I got your message I uploaded it as: "Mount_St_Helens_Summit_Pano_II.jpg"
[[1]].
Will that be good enough? It certainly seems more linear than the last version, but on the other hand, I would not want to create an artificially straight horizon. I do see some remaining curvature in the far right that is also present in the original individual photographs (this pano is a stitch of 63 photographs) so I think that to make this part perfectly straight would be an over correction. Anyway, thanks much for your help! Farwestern, 4 March 2010
Hi, that now looks much better. Of course the horizon cannot be fully level in this mountain area. I have created a subheading, but leave it to you to place the photo there ;-) and thank you for doing panorama images (like myself) so a greeting from my part but I wonder what you were doing here (that is 360° indeed) near a place I know rather well? -- Klaus with K (talk) 20:46, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Debate re: Mount St. Helens image

[edit]

FYI: There's a discussion at Talk:Mount St. Helens#Edit request which was started by someone who has claimed that the image is actually a 180, not a 360. As the original uploader of the image, can you provide any details which can help resolve the issue? --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 19:48, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You do take gorgeous photographs. I've used one of the ceiling of the Arab Room at Cardiff Castle in the William Burges article. I hope you like it. KJP1 (talk) 20:02, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium Panorama

[edit]

Hey Farwestern. Your panorama on the PDZA page creates a large gap after the opening paragraph since it takes up the full width of the article and can't fit next to the infobox. Do you know if there's a way to change its width on the page so it can fit and fill the gap? Thanks in advance! Takinzinnia (talk|contribs) 01:33, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. Barek moved it lower on the page. Takinzinnia (talkcontribs) 02:34, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Photo Use and Thanks!

[edit]

Gregg, thanks for your work for the open community. I wished to notify you that I've used your very excellent photograph taken near the Mt. Ellinor summit to practice some photo editing, and produced a cover photo for Facebook, a background for my blog, and a desktop and iPad background. I've credited you (and provided links to the photo source and to your user page) in all public places, but if you'd wish to check for adequacy, please do. www.jacobmusick.blogspot.com Thanks again!
