If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

Your contributed article, Melbourne City FC (YouTube)[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Melbourne City FC (YouTube). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Melbourne City FC. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Melbourne City FC. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. -★- PlyrStar93. Message me. 🖉 03:17, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, FastCube. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Cameroon (Head Soccer), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

SophisticatedSwampert let's talk about that 03:05, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article South Korea (Head Soccer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Trivial character from a non-notable game.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on South Korea (Head Soccer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Transfer of players[edit]

Hi @FastCube:, thank you for your edits on the different A-League team pages, unfortunately the ones around transfers are incorrect. Officially even if a player seems to have come from one club to another, the A-League doesn't have in-league transfers. This means the players are released by their current club before moving onto the next one, so for Wikipedia purposes, we treat them as if they were unattached players. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, FastCube. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Head Soccer, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 15:48, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Visual edits[edit]

Hi,

could you please stop making visual edits on A-League clubs' season pages results? It messes up the spacing of the template and adds unused parameters. Also, please add a report when updating results, and make sure the details you are adding are correct. --SuperJew (talk) 18:03, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Angelique Hristodoulou has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2016–17 Sydney FC W-League season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daniel Barrett (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A tag has been placed on Isaac Richards requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Updating squad statistics[edit]

Hey mate, When you were updating the 2017–18 Adelaide United FC season for round 18, you didn't update the Squad statistics. Later in round 19 & round 20 when you did update them you only added those rounds stats and round 18's stats didn't get added. This creates confusion and false stats. In future, please be consistent with your editing or don't edit those areas. --SuperJew (talk) 19:12, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello WOSO editors! A few initiatives have been started with an emphasis on making more WOSO links blue (similar to the work that WikiProject Women in Red does) and filling in the gaps within various league, team, and player, etc. articles.

If you're interested in collaborating with others to make more links blue, take a look at the initiatives listed in the box below. Sign up at the bottom of an initiative page and help grow the lists, add potential references, resources, and create the articles ... or create your own initiative.

Notice

The article Georgia Plessas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Previously deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Georgia Plessas. The conclusions of that debate still apply to the current page.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Georgia Plessas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Ways to improve 2005–06 in Australian soccer[edit]

Hi, I'm Boleyn. FastCube, thanks for creating 2005–06 in Australian soccer!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add your references.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Sources and communication (again)[edit]

I have contacted you numerous times but you continue to refuse to answer and continue to create unreferenced articles. Responding to other editors when they contact you with concerns is mandatory, per the policies WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE. Adding sources is essential - see WP:V and WP:BURDEN. Please respond to my previous messages - you are risking a block with your conduct. Boleyn (talk) 15:55, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You've continued to edit, but have not addressed the issues. Boleyn (talk) 14:38, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

FastCube, can you please add references to the many articles I've contacted you about? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 13:53, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources and communication[edit]

FastCube, the ANI was closed with no action, rather than an indefinite block, because you agreed to communicate in future and to add sources to the articles you have created [1]. Yet since, you have ignored my messages and not added any sources. Please respond to this message as soon as you next log on, or this will need to go back to ANI. Boleyn (talk) 20:37, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You've continued to edit, can you please WP:ENGAGE? 19:21, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
FastCube, please don't continue to ignore messages. Boleyn (talk) 08:37, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources and communication (again)[edit]

I'm not sure you realise I've spent hours trying to solve the many unreferenced articles you created and writing messages to you, messages you haven't had the courtesy to respond to. If you look at your list of creations, you'l see I've moved a small number to draftspace - you can work on them there and transfer back when they have sources. These include unreferenced blps. Boleyn (talk) 09:02, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates[edit]

Hi, when updating infobox stats you should update the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 15:20, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
