Welcome!

Hello, FireStarterInc., and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Roberta Angelica, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

The article Roberta Angelica has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no reliable references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 05:05, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The page I created, was proposed for deletion, by reddogsix, with "not notable", within seconds, and now it's gone. Well, it's all a learning experience, will make for a good article, although not original, as reddogsix was also mentioned by a feminist group, in the hasty deletion, of a "not notable", kinda iconic, female photographer... Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, FireStarterInc., does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Drmies (talk) 18:07, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Drmies, I am not very good at this at all, it was my first attempt. In trying to change my user name, to unblock, and I keep going in circles. I really just want to change the name, so I can participate. Thank you for your input, and any help would be greatly appreciated. FireStarterInc. (talk) 18:00, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of maintenance tags, & inaccurate edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Roberta Angelica, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. You should also not use inaccurate edit summaries in your edits as you did here; this was obviously not a typo. --David Biddulph (talk) 18:08, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi David, I apologize, profusely! I wanted to try this, it was my first attempt, and I did not mean harm, to be offensive, or deceitful, in any way. I did not know I was doing something wrong! Honestly, I'm finding this a hit scary, but I don't want to give up. I tried changing my user name, because someone said it was wrong, but I'm having much difficulty with that too. I'm also blocked, I think because of the user name. Any help, would be great, and thank you for explaining some of this to me. FireStarterInc. (talk) 17:57, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Roberta Angelica

[edit]

The article Roberta Angelica has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable actor lacking non-trivial support.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 17:56, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi reddogsix, this was my first contribution. I see there are many other actors on Wikipedia, with far fewer accomplishments. I'm still learning here, but is it personal? Specifically, because I'm not sure how the process works (and I appreciate any help!), is the proposed deletion, or the suggestion that this actor is not notable enough, based on personal judgement? Thank you FireStarterInc. (talk) 17:51, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
