Hi, did you see my response to your post on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums#Sorry? You don't have to discuss every edit but at first it isn't a bad idea to post on the article's talk page first. If no one replies in 3-4 days feel free to edit. The more you edit the more you will get a feel for which edits are controversial and which aren't. Generally anything dealing with genres is controversial. Also, the lower the traffic at an article the less likely anyone will object to your edit. Looking at the edit you made you might want to reference the passage since it is directly quoted, Template:Cite album-notes will be a big help in adding the reference. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. Happy editing and feel free to be bold! J04n(talk page) 21:04, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since you copied it word for word you really should cite the album notes, the link I gave you above has a template that makes it easy. You can also use Template:Cite web to improve the Entertainment Weekly citation you put in. You also may want to take a few minutes and read over this tutorial, it covers a lot of useful topics. See you around and don't hesitate to ask for help J04n(talk page) 02:45, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:08, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ok so at this point all we can do is vote ...made we should re-word the hole thing...talk about the incident more..we can do our own version of this see page 2 ..tell me what you think!!..Buzzzsherman (talk) 21:41, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flight Time /O well

I see there point after reading all the policies they listed (I have been here since 2006 and some i had never seen)..the article needs work...So like i said i will redo the article when i get more info...From what i have found the US report is called "The lost men indecent" and refers to how new guidelines were set fourth so that this would not happen again!!...it is a 75 page report on changes that should be implemented (not sure if they ever were). ........Buzzzsherman (talk) 18:42, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You looked at the wrong difference. Your edit was this one. Jezhotwells (talk) 02:57, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that was a typo to my added book [[2]]. So the page I was looking at [[3]] was showing I made the previous edit to the one shown. Ok I get it, but isn't that confusing ?( yeah, just to me) I thought when you click (diff) on your watch list, the differance shown was done by the editor shown on the top of the page, along with the editor who made the latest change ? I guess I'll get it. Thanks Mlpearc (talk) 03:12, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AWB /Re: BLP contest

I'm the wrong person to ask about AWB, I have it but only used it for two weeks because I didn't like it. There are penalties for sending an article to AfD that doesn't get deleted so I doubt it will be an issue. Frankly, if folks are so desperate for points that they game the system I'm dropping out. J04n(talk page) 20:48, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hersfold /Status questions

The status indicator does not change unless you tell it to. You have to click one of the links provided along the bottom of the template or manually edit Special:Mypage/Status for it to work.
Monobook.js contains all the scripts that will operate when you use the Monobook skin; Vector.js contains all the scripts that will operate when you use the Vector skin. If you want a script to work in both skin, you must have the script in both files. What the status template displays is not affected by what skin you use; it's getting its information from Special:Mypage/Status. I'm not completely understanding your question here, but if I haven't answered it, let me know. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:26, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Paralympiakos /Your edits to the talk page of Cain Velasquez

Ok, talk pages are meant to be for discussing the article, not adding random messages.

You reverting my removal meant that I had to retype my entire message I was saving, which is a frustrating ordeal.

Any notice about this "biting" stuff could have EASILY gone on respective USER talk pages, so as to keep them in the right place.

I also don't appreciate you trying to get me banned for doing so. My reasoning has also been backed up by the user on the talk page. I assure you, I was doing the right thing.Paralympiakos (talk) 20:47, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Confirming what he says: we don't want to bite the newbies - though actually, I see your account was opened in November 2008, so you are hardly a newbie - but they have to understand our rules and customs. Wikipedia is a serious effort to build an encyclopedia; there is some scope for chat on user talk pages, but article talk pages are only for discussion about improving the article. Removing irrelevant chat from them is quite proper. Maybe, though you have had an account for some time, you have not looked round the site much; there are useful links from the WP:Welcome page and from WP:Your first article. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:02, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IRC, Kumpfj

Hi.

Lost you on IRC.

I looked at the contribs for Kumpfj (talk · contribs), and it's certainly not all bad; we have to be careful not to bite, so I'd advise you try and chat to them via their talk page; assume good faith and see if you can just find out why they blanked it; it could well be a mistake.

If, on the other hand, it does turn out malicious, then the warning is there already, so it's noted.

Hope that helps,  Chzz  ►  20:25, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jeni /March 2010

In a recent edit to the page Cardiff Gate services‎, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to other English-speaking countries, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the appropriate variety of English used there. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, you can ask me on my talk page or you can visit the help desk. Thank you. Jeni (talk) 00:38, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for applying to access the ACC tool. As a tool administrator, I have decided to give you access. You may now utilize the tool here - however, before you do so please read the tool's guide due to the nature of the tool. You may also want to join #wikipedia-en-accounts on freenode irc, and also join the mailing list

Please remember that the ACC tool is powerful, and that misuse may result in your access being suspended by a Tool Administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, and once again welcome to the ACC tool.

  • I understand your song copyedit, but you are not in the history for the article Scott Baker. Also, the warning on the drive page stated "This drive begins on 1 May 2010 at 00:00 UTC. Entries listed before this time will not be counted". I listed my Tyranid entries as "working" before hand meaning "I will work on them". The real work was all completed after 00:00 utc. And I don't think this is a dispute. Buggie111 (talk) 01:20, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hmm, I see. All my contribs say one hour later than the time signed here. I wanted to do the work after May 1, thinking that it already was that in London. Weird. Buggie111 (talk) 01:23, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • All those edits don't count because, yes you saved the pages to have at the start, but you made the edits Before the start Mlpearc MESSAGE 01:26, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • And I'm not in the History of the article you mention because there was no edits made !Mlpearc MESSAGE 01:28, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ok, how about a compromise. If my en.wiki clock is one hour fast, than how about this: Since I did copyedit the article once after 00:00 UTC (see this), at one hour forty nine minutes into the day (based on my contrib clock) or forty nine minutes into the day (based on the signatures we see here), than we can say this. There were two major edits I made to the article, one was a Word spellcheck, the other, some de-moting from in-game glamor, which falls uner "improving cohesion". Thus said, the second edit was at at one hour forty nine minutes into the day (based on my contrib clock) or forty nine minutes into the day (based on the signatures we see here). This is within the Drive deadlines, no matter what. Although this won't penalize me much, I could take the word count of the article after the word spellcheck fix but before the de-moting from in-game glamor, since the work I did within the timelimit was all after the word spellcheck fix . Thus, I would be given 3494 words instead of 3492 words. Deal? Buggie111 (talk) 01:46, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I just realized that that would give me two more words. So what. How did you copyedit Scott Baker, if you did not edit it? Buggie111 (talk) 01:46, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I didn't know to grab articles tagged "Copy Edit" I was clicking "Random Article" I'm not here for the competition, so I really don't care but I did start this Disputes just so you'll know. Have fun Mlpearc MESSAGE 01:54, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Articles that don't have the copyedit tag are not part of the backlog, and don't count. If you look at the box on the right side of the Backlog page, all those articles (listed by month) are in the backlog. You can choose one of those. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 03:49, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • As stated in the message "just " above yours I then realize which articles we are dealing with. To my amaze, I can see your interest in me picking the correct articles, But, I can find no mention of the other editor's mistakes here. This editor has all

[5]these edits in his count, this is first article in his "count list, I haven't checked the others. As you can see they were All done prior the the start. • Don't want to flare anything up, but I would like to tell you somthing. The drive starts at midnight London time. You are correct, part of my work on Tyranids was before that time, but some of it was after. I'm only counting the wordcount after 00:00 London time, which ironically happens to be two more words. That is the same with Oil City. However good the quality of my copyedits maybe, at least thye were within the time limit (or at least Oil City was). Thank you. Buggie111 (talk) 14:48, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not a judge, on my "Article History" page for both of those articles it show your edits were made on April 30. Sorry if my display is wrong Mlpearc MESSAGE 14:54, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • You may have set it to show a sepecific timezone. Check your talk history right now. Did the post I just make register close to 15:03 UTC time? If so, than your clocks all right. For mine it would register at 16:03 UTC time. The difference in hours is how slow/fast your clock is. For me, it seems, it's one hour fast, for you, if your statement about Oil ?City is true, it should be at least five hours slow. Tell me what happens. Buggie111 (talk) 15:05, 1 May 2010 (UTC

The drive started at midnight UTC. The word count of that article at that time was 3494. If someone's article history shows that all the edits were made April 30, that person's timezone in Wikipedia has been set to something other than UTC. Buggie111 should get credit for 3494. California Jam / Seppdonahower

Resolved

hello

I am a bit upset about the deletions you did to the edits I contributed on the California Jam page. I can assure you that I was the founder and president of Pacific Presentations. It was Pacific who was hired by ABC Entertainment to buy all the talent and put the show together. Pacific's name is on every piece of advertising and document concerning California Jam. Myself and Gary Perkins ran Pacific Presentations , and Bob Bogdanovich was also a partner. Bob also owned Tycobrahe Sound Company, who did the sound for California Jam, and also the touring systems for most of the groups on the bill. If you don't believe me, check with Don Branker. He knows me well. The story about how we rented the speedway is a great inside story of the show. I also started and owned Pinnacle Dance Concerts and did the first shows of Hendrix, Traffic, Janis and many others at the old Shrine Exhibition Hall. thank you. my email direct is "seppdonahower@gmail.com". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seppdonahower (talkcontribs) 02:25, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would appreciate a response. I am not such an expert at navigating wikipedia, so maybe it would be best to communicate via email . Again, my email is <redacted>. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seppdonahower (talkcontribs) 02:37, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Romper suit

I reverted your revert and explained why I'd taken out that section, but because I made another edit so quickly after, the explanation doesn't seem to have been registered. I took that section out because it was unnecessary - the article already says it's a one-piece garment, there's no need to explain in a section of its own what "one-piece" means, for heaven's sake - but mostly because the style was entirely inappropriate for Wikipedia - "It may be a challenge to go to the bathroom while wearing a romper, but it is worth it"??? • No problem, I won't let anybody "rush" me, that's inviting mistakes then. thanks for keeping a eye though. :) Mlpearc pull my chain Trib's 06:53, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
