Photography query - 7 James Street, Butetown

[edit]
7 James Street, Butetown

Hi Geoff, I wonder if you might be able to take a photograph of a building in Cardiff for the article Murder of Lynette White - specifically 7 James Street, Butetown (seen here in the 1980s). Ideally the image would show the full height of the building to allow a brief description of the position of the murder scene, the street level entry, and the flats above belonging to witnesses. Additionally a view of the building from the vantage point of St. Clare's Court, Butetown would be helpful. I haven't been to Cardiff for nearly 15 years and can't remember any of this area now, but if you get the chance to read the article (still incomplete, apologies) and are able to get any images which mught be relevant at all that would be wonderful. Thanks for giving this your consideration, and look forward to hearing from you. Keristrasza (talk) 13:49, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Keristrasza. I'm certainly willing to do this, but it may have to wait for next weekend (or the next weekend after that with decent weather). It's the opposite side of town from me, and it's too dark in the evenings to take pictures. Foomandoonian (talk) 14:20, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's fantastic Geoff, really appreciate whatever you can do whenever you can fit it in. Many thanks. Keristrasza (talk) 15:23, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again Keristrasza. Sorry it has been so long — I'll be honest, I totally forgot about this! Anyway, I've just uploaded your photograph to Wikimedia Commons. It shows proximity to the WMC and was taken from the W. Bute St. junction. I was sure I had taken one from a closer vantage point, but it seems not. Foomandoonian (talk) 01:36, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've gone ahead and added the photo to the page. The top may not be the best place, but nowhere else seemed any better. Foomandoonian (talk) 01:15, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, been so busy outside WP! Thanks a million for the image, I owe you one! Keristrasza (talk) 12:37, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wales Coast Path WikiProject

[edit]
Living Paths! Logo

As a member of WikiProject Wales, WikiProject Cardiff or an user who has contributed to Welsh articles we invite you to contribute to a new project, Living Paths!: articles, images, translations... Lonely Planet rated the coast of Wales "the best region on Earth" in 2012, yet there is a very low number of articles on the history and culture of places along the Coastal Path. This promises to be an exciting project as it gathers momentum with many Users joining in across the world.

If you are interested in training groups in Wales, please leave a message on the Talk Page.
Let's make this WikiProject, like the path itself, the best on earth! And let's put Wales back on the map!

Diolch!
