Change of name[edit]

Hallo, I see that you created a new article at Cotabato State University because Cotabato City State Polytechnic College has changed its name.

We don't need a second article on the same institution, and we don't want to lose the record of who wrote since 2009 what in the article about it, so I've redirected the new title to the old and made a move request to move the existing article to the new name. That way we keep the history of the article. PamD 11:12, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please also note that you must never copy other work from Wikipedia and claim it as your own, which is what you did by copying the existing article to create the new one. That previous short article was the result of work by several different people over the years. See WP:Copying within Wikipedia, and please show more respect to other editors. Thanks. KCC Mall of Cotabato moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, KCC Mall of Cotabato, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. AfC notification: Draft:KCC Mall of Cotabato has a new comment[edit]

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:KCC Mall of Cotabato. Thanks! Robert McClenon (talk) 08:22, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about KCC Mall of Cotabato[edit]

Hello, Francis 188, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Tamingimpala, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, KCC Mall of Cotabato, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KCC Mall of Cotabato.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Tamingimpala}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Francis 188! Your additions to Notre Dame University (Philippines) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:47, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Shopping malls in Cotabato City indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 18:03, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
