I am the person with the user name "Free-encyclopedia." Just because this is the slogan of Wikipedia does not make it wrong. It is no way insulting Wikipedia, or violating any rules. I am not going to change my user name just because I took it from an aspect of Wikipedia's motto.

I don't think your name is a particularly obvious violation, myself, but someone thought it was serious enough to ask for you to be blocked. I've left him a note that you don't want to change your name - if he's still concerned then he can post a request on Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names and ask for more opinions.

Do you watch the show Everybody Loves Raymond? It was one of the best shows during the time it was on. I recently created the page for the character Amy MacDougall-Barone. The problem is, most people know her as Amy Barone. I am not sure what her 'official' name is on the show. The title of the article was gotten from a link on the 'Everybody Loves Raymond' page. It had a link to the 'Amy Macdougall-Barone' page, but there was nothing there so I started it. Here's my problem. I want 'Amy Barone' to link to 'Amy Macdougall-Barone.' So if somebody types in the first phrase, they get the article with the ladder for a title. But right now, the first links to the 'Everybody Loves Raymond' page. I think what I have to do is create an 'Amy Barone' page, and then make the only part of the article a redirect to my original page. But there's got to be a better way. Is there?

OK. I thought that was what you were asking, but I was unsure which part you needed help with. I'd hoped my diff link would be explanation enough. But, it turns out I was wrong. Which is why I left the capitalization error redirect Amy Macdougall-Barone for use as a practice for you.

To make a redirect, simply go to the article (Article 1). We'll call the article you want to redirect to Article 2.

Click "edit" on article 1.

Delete all the existing text, and replace it with the following

#REDIRECT [[Article 2]]

Then, hit save.

Now, Article 1 will take you to Article 2 when you click on a link to Article 1

So, to create the capitalization error redirect you mentioned, you will need to do the following:

Go to Amy Macdougall-Barone and click edit.

Replace (or in this case create) the article with the line #REDIRECT [[Amy MacDougall-Barone]].

Hit save.

Tah-dah!

Over your head

This is free-encyclopedia. I was the one who changed the disambiguation of 'Over My Head' to the song by The Fray 'Over My Head (Cable Car).' You claimed my reason for changing was because I liked one band more. Although I do like the song the best, it is only because I have not heard the other three. I made the change for two reasons. First, none of the other three songs have articles about them. Second, The Fray's song is a currently popular single. Most likely, if somebody is searching 'Over My Head' on Wikipedia, they want the article about The Fray song, not any of the other three. But, to be fair, I made a note about the other three songs at the top of the page. I thought I did the right thing. If you give permission, I would like to change it back. • You don't need my permission to do anything. My reason for leaving Over My Head as a disambiguation page is because Over My Head (Cable Car) is the full name of the song by The Fray. If someone types in "Over My Head", they'll find what they're looking for, regardless of what that might be. And even if The Fray's song is a currently popular single and the others are not, what about in 10 years? Disambiguation pages are a way to help people find what they want and I believe that's what the current setup is acheiving.--Hraefen ^Talk 20:03, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Category:Cheyenne Kimball albums / The Day Has Come

From Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums#Categories: "Previous discussions have formed the consensus that a category for an artist's albums should be created even if they have only released one album (irrespective of whether they are likely to release more in the future)."

Additionally, a category for an artist's album(s) enables that artist to be listed in Category:Albums by artist, album genre categories (such as Category:Pop albums), and an albums by artist nationality category (such as Category:American albums). Zyzzyx Road

Hi. You originated the Zyzzyx Road article on December 2, 2006. I read this article which discusses a Jan. 4, 2007 Daily Variety article on the movie. The article states that the Jan. 4, 2007 Daily Variety article neglected to credit a December 31, 2006 online article by Chud.com. Interestingly, neither Daily Variety nor Chud.com credited Wikipedia or your December 2, 2006 efforts for their later-in-time articles.
