Please can I ask you to unblock me because I acted in good faith as I was not aware I had to declare I shared my IP address with MacPraughan. I understand that I have to appeal to Bbb23 who blocked me in the first place. Thank you Freewasp (talk) 12:03, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

Request reason:
I understand that I have been blocked permanently because you thought that I am a sockpuppet of MacPraughan Actually, I am a close family member of MacPraughan and wish to make a contribution to Wikipedia. I have been following closely MacPraughan editing WP articles over recent years and often wanted to contribute within my sphere of expertise which is very similar to MacPraughan’s as we have been married for over 20 years and follow the same field of interests. Recently, I felt outraged when a number of MacPraughan’s carefully researched edits were deleted en bloc by Balazs38. I felt it was unfair and they should have been dealt with on an individual basis. MacPraughan was demotivated so I wanted to do something about it. Therefore he encouraged me to register and say it for myself. So on 11th August MacPraughan inducted me to register and make contributions since obviously I had no WP editing experience although I often refer to it for information. I explained what I wanted to say and MacPraughan got me started, as a complete beginner, showing me how to make my edits and refer to some of the policies that he knew about. However neither MacPraughan nor I knew about the policy of posting this “User shared IP address” tag on our user pages to disclose our situation. Therefore I understand that this was a mistake according to WP guidelines. As soon as I am unblock I will place the Shared IP address userbox on my user page. My edits were not intended to be disruptive and I hope they are not seen as such; I discussed their relevance with MacPraughan and he said they should be acceptable.
Decline reason:
This is a clear violation of WP:SOCK (specifically, WP:MEAT), if it is true. And there's reason to believe it isn't true, given the technical evidence. The block is clearly appropriate. Yamla (talk) 12:03, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

- Freewasp, after discussing the issue with Yamla, I'm going to unblock you. Please note that WP:FAMILY doesn't just require the userbox on your userpage. It is also ill-advised for you and MacPraughn to edit the same articles (or closely related articles) or discussions without declaring your relationship each time you do. To avoid future blocks, I strongly advise you not to edit in the same areas as MacPraughn. Some editors may watch what you and MacPraughn do, so it pays to err on the side of total independence from each other when you're on Wikipedia.
