Proposed deletion of ComboFix[edit]

The article ComboFix has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I can't find significant coverage for this software.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Joe Chill (talk) 23:31, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on ComboFix requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. October 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this recent edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from ComboFix, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:55, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Joel Warady requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Account[edit]

Would you mind explaining why you announced that User:Willy on Wheels voted for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Identity fraud, then changed your signature to "Willy on Wheels"? If you are not this user, it is inappropriate for you to be claiming to be in control of both accounts. If you are controlling both accounts, this may be a violation of the policy: WP:SOCK, as Willy on Wheels is a banned account. Jujutacular T · C 00:18, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ANI[edit]

Hello, FunnyDuckIsFunny. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

  • I won't be able to join the party today because I am not able to edit the noticeboard until I am auto-confirmed in the system. Thanks for letting me know. FunnyDuckIsFunny (talk) 01:09, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for repeated abuse of editing privileges. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I will try to be as brief as possible, but first let me address the Willy on Wheels issue was just a reference to the user and obviously no link between me and him exist what so ever. As for the other issue about my userpage showing signs of negativity I got the idea from viewing a image that Ten Pound Hammer uploaded and placed in a AfD discussion. I hope that you can understand that I wasn't trying to cause any harm on purpose and that it was an error made by the small ammount inexperience I still have to learn from.

Decline reason:

User admits to abusing multiple accounts, and seems to not understand the egregiousness of such actions. --jpgordon::==( o ) 01:07, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I will consider the unblock, but first I want you to explain your edits: For a new user you how a high familiarity with Wikipedia. Have you previously edited under a different user name? If not, how do you explain your knowledgeable edits? --ThaddeusB (talk) 02:09, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited from another PC via IP for about a few months because I originally had no ittention of joining until recently because I could not come up with a good username. Eventually I was studying on known vandals on Wikipedia which most notably is Willy on Wheels to whose edits gave me a chuckle for a little bit. As I mentioned earlier, you will not find any link between me and old Willy here. Thanks for your consideration for unblocking. FunnyDuckIsFunny (talk) 11:53, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the relationship between you and User:NobleOwnage? --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:54, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am suprised this wasn't brought up in the deleted discussion until now, he is according to a essay on Wikipedia, a single purpose account that I made to help save an article that had a high risk of deletion anyway by letting it gain a second shot at being more detailed in the Article Incubator. Other than those two edits, the little guy was not used to evade any blocks whatsoever and has had it's purpose fulfilled ever since. FunnyDuckIsFunny (talk) 21:34, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. Admins will be able to look at this curious series of events:
    1. 23:18, October 20, 2009. You create Joel Warady.
    2. 23:46 -- You make your third edit to that article.
    3. 23:47 -- You nominate that article for deletion as User:NobleOwnage.
    4. 23:48 -- You create the AFD for the article
    5. 23:51 -- You vote "speedy keep" in the AFD, as User:FunnyDuckIsFunny
I suggest admins not unblock this editor until some explanation for these hijinks is provided. --jpgordon::==( o ) 00:43, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I knew from the start that the article was doomed after looking at the previous nominations for deletion but I was afraid to make a nomination for deletion under the same user name that created the article until I found that a project that would help make the article better suitable for Wikipedia standards. When I found that out, I took one of the original opposing votes from the original discussion to attempt to save the article and bring in into the Article Incubator.

I know I will most likely get alot of questions saying why I made the article if I knew it's fate was deletion but that is as good as I can explain it. FunnyDuckIsFunny (talk) 00:54, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of Wikipedia:FYODS[edit]

Wikipedia:FYODS, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:FYODS and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
