Thanks for uploading Image:Craignicholls_ivyleague10yearsconcert.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:57, 15 February 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 03:57, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:American Stratocaster (Fender).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the article name that the image is used in tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Highlyevolved singlecover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Copyright problems[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:The Vines.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, Image:The Vines.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:The Vines.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

 • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:The Vines.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:The Vines.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
 • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:The Vines.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 05:40, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:SFTBH cover.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SFTBH cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:19, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Craig Nicholls 2007.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Dylan and 'Political affiliations'[edit]

Hi Garage kid, I moved the Dylan quote about Obama back into the main 'Life and career' section because to have a section on 'Political affiliations' with just one item in it does not make sense. And we've been asked by Featured Article Review 1 to make this article shorter. I've given these reasons on Dylan Talk page 2. Please add comment there if you disagree. per Wikipedia's Manual of Style for music; genres are not capitalized. Please do not continue to capitalize them. - -The Spooky One (talk to me) 00:03, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I geuss i'm not really understanding what you said; but let me explain it best. In this Edit, you changed the genres from alternative rock and punk rock to Alternative rock and Punk Rock. Per wikipedia's manual of style per music, music genres are not capitalized. So i reverted your edit. - -The Spooky One (talk to me) 00:36, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About trivia[edit]

Hello Garage kid, recently I came across of a couple of your recent edits, to the Kings of Leon-related articles of On Call and Wasted Time (Kings of Leon song). On both articles you've added rather trivial information. For future reference, see WP:TRIVIA. And about your endless Capitalizing Of Musical Genres In Infobox, please use <br> between genres, so
it'll
look
like
this. Thanks, and happy editing. --Soetermans | is listening | what he'd do now? 20:57, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war on Melodia[edit]

Your reversion of my edit here ignores my edit summaries and discussion on the talk page re this issue. Per Wikipedia guidelines, the data you seek to include in the box simply does not belong in that box. Please discuss the issue on the talk page before reverting this again. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 12:18, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Melodia (album). Thank you. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 12:23, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

November 2008[edit]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Weezer. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Please stop removing the citations out of the genres, you have done it many times and it doesn't help the issue. Read this. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 02:23, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Weezer, you will be blocked from editing. Please do not remove cited sources. It DOES NOT matter if only one album was emo, the fact is, it was emo, so at some point in time, their music was. The sources speak louder than you do, your opinion does not matter!. k-i-a-c (hitmeup - the past) 02:31, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:DLttR UK singlecover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DLttR UK singlecover.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

 • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
 • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
