Tom Hadler[edit]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information; this is especially important about living people. Two sources (Soccerway and Gillingham FC) say that Hadler is 1.87m tall. Do you have a source which says he is taller? GiantSnowman 20:47, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I note that you have tried to change the height again. Please can you confirm what source you are using to support this? GiantSnowman 10:32, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hadler’s height[edit]

He is my brother and I know for a fact he is 6ft 4Inches, the gills website is wrong. Also on soccer Saturday on sky sports they did a feature on the Gills goalies and they said he was 6ft 4 inch. He is 6 ft 4 inch on fifa Gillingham Fc lover (talk) 16:02, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there - he is described as 6ft 2inches here. I appreciate you want to correct the height, but as I've said before, Wikipedia relies on published sources. Do you have anything which confirms the height? I respectfully advise you not to edit the article again until this matter has been resolved, as your actions might be seen to be disruptive and you could end up being blocked. Please also bear in mind your conflict of interest. GiantSnowman 17:31, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hadler's height again[edit]

Unless you can provide a reliable published source to say that Hadler's height is not what Soccerway, Sky, Gillingham, etc all say, please desist from changing the article -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 14:25, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Tom Hadler shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
