Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, GlobeClimber. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Christian Kälin, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. If you are associated with Henley & Partners, you will need to disclose this.Broccoli & Coffee (Oh hai) 20:36, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Broccoli & Coffee - Noted, I am fairly new to Wikipedia as an editor (but making progress), so all input is much appreciated and I will review this, though I can't see any of this applying to me. I think this is a highly interesting and controversial figure and whilst we can see politicians working through governmental structures, Dr Kälin is pushing a different angle to migration.

A cheeseburger for you![edit]

Great article creation in The Quality of Nationality Index! Keep it up! Notwithstanding that, the article has a lot of copyright issues, please rectify them.
Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 21:29, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you SshibumXZ - Much appreciated, I will review my notes/sources and rectify where applicable as soon as I get to this. I would also like to include a graphic and the QNI world map to flesh this page out further and I plan to reach out to the company Henley & Partners to ask for their permission. If you don't mind I will come back to you for guidance. Thanks! GlobeClimber (talk) 14:21, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
GlobeClimber sure, feel free to contact me either through a mention or a talk page message whenever you please, would be more than happy to help you out.
Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 14:28, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Addendum — In the meantime, I will just add a welcome message which will list out various important and helpful links.

Deletion pending for File:QNI factors.jpg[edit]

Hello, GlobeClimber. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:QNI factors.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 15:38, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Responsible Investment Brand Index requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.ri-brandindex.org/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:

Sorry! Some of these were accounts from the time when starting to better understand Wikipedia or trying out things. I have left them but not deleted them and only used them recently concurrently. I don't recognize some of the other accounts and I did not even think of this being an issue, my apologies. But perhaps more importantly, I have put a lot of work into creating what I think were valuable contributions to the community, I don't get money for this and only occasionally check in. Please do check my contributions. It is a great place, and if I could I would like to say part of it. Lesson learnt, thank you.

Decline reason:

I can't see the checkuser evidence but just in looking at your contributions I don't believe for one second that you aren't a paid editor, and until you are forthcoming about that and conflicts of interest, there is no pathway forward here. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 18:59, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
