Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shalane Flanagan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page B.A.A.. Olympic categories

[edit]

Hi. Please do not add categories to biographies saying that an athlete is an Olympian, until they've actually competed at the Olympics. Qualifying for the games is not the same as being at them. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello. A tag has been placed on Erin Finn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. noq (talk) 10:11, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Boing! said Zebedee. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Caster Semenya, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please only update her medal status when you can provide a source confirming her medals have actually been upgraded - the mere banning of the Russians does not itself re-award the medals. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Susan Tanui. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information using your own words. DL schedule pictures

[edit]

Hey, I love the content but we really need to either classify the DL schedule pictures File:W dl.jpg and File:M dl.jpg either a) as fair use (not ideal because the drop in resolution will make them unreadable), or b) just recreate as wikitext tables. We can't reupload photos as CC-BY-SA that aren't licensed that way, it'll just give the pages a bad name and possibly get us in to trouble. Though I do find it funny that the IAAF in the actual DL logo uses this diamond which is CC-BY-SA without attribution... --Habst (talk) 03:26, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-pasting info and copy-paste article moves

[edit]

Hi there! I noticed that a few of your recent edits have been a bit problematic. For example, copy-pasted material for the Mikiah Brisco article and this edit on Keturah Orji with dumped text copied from elsewhere in non-formatted way. This is not a positive edit for readers, as the information is not presented in a clear way, and it can also present copyright-violation issues. I strongly suggest to avoid doing this in future, otherwise you may risk being blocked and your entire edit history being reviewed by the community, which is a horrible outcome for everyone involved (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Copyright Cleanup/Darius Dhlomo Drive for example).

There are also further issues where you've broken the history of pages by copying article content and pasting it at a different article title, e.g. Clara Santucci and Ashtin Zamzow. Breaking the history of an article breaks the licensing of the text, so that is not a trivial matter. Where you're unable to move an article (typically due to a page restriction or a blocking redirect) you can request an admin to do this for you at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests. There is no need to rush on page moves as they are often a minor issue if the article text reflects the subject correctly.

Tinman Elite moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Tinman Elite, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, GoOKC

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username North8000 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've proposed an article that you started, 2020 Golden Gala, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criteria and I believe that the article obviously and uncontroversially does not belong in an encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|North8000}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
