Speedy deletion nomination of The Grand Golf Club[edit]

Hello GordonWaterfall,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Grand Golf Club for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Darafsh Kaviyani (Talk) 03:46, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, GordonWaterfall. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Geoff Drakeford, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Geoff Drakeford to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Sourov0000 (talk) 09:44, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New golfer articles[edit]

Please read Wikipedia:Notability (people), Wikipedia:Notability (sports), and WP:NGOLF before creating anymore golf biography pages. Several that you have created are of non-notable amateur golfers and I'll be nominating them for deletion. Tewapack (talk) 21:12, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jayde Panos has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable amateur golfer, fails WP:GOLF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Well worth keeping at it - even if it is a bit daunting to deal with deletions and things. Stubs must have more substance than what you have been adding - like the Royal Hobart... -- the content as is is not enough - please try to find a bit more when creating. Thanks. It can take a time to work out what is needed... sats 08:10, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good example - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lakes_Golf_Club - no idea where it is - that needs to be in the lead paragraph - location, state, Australia. Also very important for your stubs to survive- WP:RS - if you havent tried - try the places against a query in NLA Trove database - they have a wiki format for the refs. sats 08:15, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Commonwealth Golf Club may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

A tag has been placed on File:Minjeelee.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
