If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions.

There are several ways of getting help:

  1. Leave a message on this page. It is on my watchlist, which means that I can see when the page is changed!
  2. Leave a message on my talk page - just click on talk in my signature
  3. Go into IRC Channel #wikipedia-en-help

  5. Leave a question on the Help Desk or on the New Contributors' Help Page

By the way, when you are writing on a discussion page (or someone's talk page), it is considered good manners to sign your comment... to do this, just add ~~~~ at the end of your comment. That will put your user name (Greggcas) and the date/time at the end (or you can click on the icon when you are editing. Never sign on an article page - only on a discussion page.

I am now going to sign below this box with my signature, by adding ~~~~ here:

Request reason:

Says I have the same IP as a user I have NO idea who is. I believe this is at fault of either my proxy at work or some other issue. I am not known under the username Handrem and never have been. I would like to have this fixed and for me to be unblocked. Thank you again for checking into this

Decline reason:

It's not just a question of having the same IP address as a number of other accounts. There are other issues too, such as the fact that you have done strikingly similar edits, including repeatedly re-creating a promotional page in which many paragraphs are verbatim copies of those created by other accounts. And you have never heard of those accounts??? However, it really doesn't matter, because even in the almost inconceivable event that you could persuade us that this account is not a sockpuppet or meatpuppet, you would still remain blocked because you have been using Wikipedia only for promotion. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Can you please use the unblock instructions you see when you try to edit? (✉→BWilkins←✎) 10:48, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a bit confused...I can edit here but do not see unblock instructions ...I do see the banned section up top though. (Greggcas (talk) 11:12, 13 July 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Request reason:

I am reopening my unblock request to further answer statements by JamesBWatson. I am in no way trying to spam the unblock feature but simply trying to relay my message and point. Original response was It's not just a question of having the same IP address as a number of other accounts. There are other issues too, such as the fact that you have done strikingly similar edits, including repeatedly re-creating a promotional page in which many paragraphs are verbatim copies of those created by other accounts. JamesBWatson (talk) 7:32 am, 13 July 2012, Friday (8 days ago) (UTC−5) I will address each point made here in hopes that you understand where I am coming from. I wanted to be a part of an article that I had found many ups and downs that played into my life. One of the many was said Love Systems. Upon first encountering the wiki page. It was up for deletion based on "non-notable" Reading through there were many errors in the ref page and dead links. During the Afd process, one of my supposed sockpuppets, Paxti, and I got into a discussion on why it should or should not be deleted. I don't see how me being 2 people arguing points back and forth would help settle on having the page created OR deleted in either sense. When the page was deleted, it was deleted on Notability. I fixed many references, adding more notable ones and adding minor edits here and there as I felt the page did not need to be changed, only notability (Which has been the main concern each time it was brought up). It was deleted again by an admin named Black Kite. I proactively engaged with him as to why it was speedy deleted. We had a brief discussion that combining the love systems page and Nick Savoy page would provide adequate information to have said page be notable enough. That information was noted, and upon adding some more information ("Contract Reference" being a main one based on sole business creation and major lawsuit that shows the ugly side of said business) I reuploaded the site. The site was speedy deleted by an Admin named Barek. After discussing with him what happened. He prompted me to request a Tempundelete (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Barek) which i had done so that I may address said issues. I have tried to be very proactive. I used other peoples writings, yes. But I used them because the issue wasn't the writing itself, but the notability. I gathered no other information from the Deleting admin, that the words were incorrect. If this were the case, I would be willing to write what is necessary to do so. I am not a professional writer nor am I able to devote many hours to Wiki. I have looked over many different topics through said category but I wanted to focus on something that I tried fixing. I am not very good at multi tasking different subjects simultaneously and would rather finish one project before starting another. I can see where you think I am promoting but I am just doing that for the sake of me figuring out how to do things properly. I have been very proactive with the deleting admins and all have been very helpful. I am hoping we can come to an understanding of where I am coming from as I can understand the way you are thinking. I hope we can try and have a further discussion if need be but I hope this will answer some of your questions. Side Note* I will admit one mistake and that was due to a rush. There is one account that is mine as well GQcas. The reason being is that I couldn't for the life of me remember my account and password (due to case sensitivity being the major problem i had. Caps lock is a pain) and had written an updated copy in a wordpad at my first job. I was unable to email it ( blocked unless through company email) or save it (cannot access C Drive) and was panicking that i would lose said addons. I created a second account and pasted the information together there in that sandbox. If you notice, that account has no contributions but has only a sandbox that has been edited. I understand that wasn't the best action but I had run out thoughts to complete what i wanted to do. If you wish to ban me for this, I can understand. But i do not feel it justifies a lifetime ban at all. Again I hope you understand where I am coming from. Thank you again for responding so quickly - Gregg

Decline reason:

As I believe the kids these days are saying "cool story bro". However, it does not convince me, even a little, that you were not sock-puppeting. Danger! High voltage! 09:19, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
