Disambiguation link notification for January 2

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Israeli-occupied territories, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Palestinian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Removal of content

Hi can you please explains your recent reverts on [1].

  1. This revert [2] of Emmette Hernandez Coleman edit per "talk page". I think that after he added it per talk page as well, you can give a little better description, especially since I don't see any arguments by you on the talk page#Demographics_section
  2. This revert[3], where you removed a section without an edit summary, then put it back, the dropped it again.--Mor2 (talk) 09:16, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
You missed my comment on why i restored the demographic section [4]. Regarding the second removal, first of all, somebody did insert this into the wrong part of history section (it should have been after UN upgrade in 2012); secondly, after reading the wikitext and reading the source, it seemed to me somebody made an editorial wikicomment, rather than just citation (the original didn't say that the institutions of PNA and SoP remained distinct, it said that Prime Minister remained designated to PNA for present and not anything else, which is a clear editorializing and possibly synthesis).Greyshark09 (talk) 09:25, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
no problem, I guess I should hit the refresh button more often, though you can post the comment on talk before saying per talk ;) As for the second edit, you know its a "popular" article so when you make some confusing changes, take a second to write an edit summary, thanks. --Mor2 (talk) 09:52, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
I guess this period is a kind of confusing with everything related to SoP.Greyshark09 (talk) 10:04, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Notice of Dispute resolution discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute in which you may have been involved. Content disputes can hold up article development, therefore we are requesting your participation to help find a resolution.

Guide for participants

If you wish to open a DR/N filing, click the "Request dispute resolution" button below this guide or go to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/request for an easy to follow, step by step request form.

What this noticeboard is:
  • It is an early step to resolve content disputes after talk page discussions have stalled. If it's something we can't help you with, or is too complex to resolve here, our volunteers will point you in the right direction.
What this noticeboard is not:
  • It is not a place to deal with the behavior of other editors. We deal with disputes about article content, not disputes about user conduct.
  • It is not a place to discuss disputes that are already under discussion at other dispute resolution forums.
  • It is not a substitute for the talk pages: the dispute must have been discussed extensively on a talk page (not just through edit summaries) before resorting to DRN.
  • It is not a court with judges or arbitrators that issue binding decisions: we focus on resolving disputes through consensus, compromise, and explanation of policy.
Things to remember:
  • Discussions should be civil, calm, concise, neutral, and objective. Comment only about the article's content, not the other editors. Participants who go off-topic or become uncivil may be asked to leave the discussion.
  • Let the other editors know about the discussion by posting {{subst:drn-notice}} on their user talk page.
  • Sign and date your posts with four tildes "~~~~".
  • If you ever need any help, ask one of our volunteers, who will help you as best as they can. You may also wish to read through the FAQ page located here and on the DR/N talkpage.

Please take a moment to review the simple guide and join the discussion. Thank you!.

I know you don't like it when I edit your talk page, but I'm required to add this per Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 22:14, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Template:Palestinian territory development

I closed this discussion as "do not merge", because there was no consensus to merge the templates. However, there probably was consensus to delete the image array template (Palestinian territory development). However, to avoid complaints from the wikilawyers, I felt it was safest if that template were simply relisted for deletion, as an unnecessary template that could be simply merged with the article(s), as was suggested by This, that, and the other and Frietjes. If you feel the same way, then feel free to renominate it. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 20:01, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi Greyshark,

I think that you may have misunderstood the sentence [5]. I think it is right that the influence of All Palestine governement (estabilished in Gaza) declines from 1948 (year of its creation) to 1956 (date at which Israelis invaded the Gaza strip and after which the All-Palestine Government was relocated to Cairo)... What's your mind ? Pluto2012 (talk) 20:33, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

I had my self written this entire paragraph earlier, and considering the sources i had to change it. The All-Palestine relocated to Egypt in late 1948, just three months after its establishment, and it never returned. Its functional abilities were further deteriorated due to the Suez Crisis, but it was in-exile anyway by Egyptian decision (probably not to give Palestinians too much independence).Greyshark09 (talk) 12:33, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Ok. I undrstand.
On my side I was convinced it stayed there up to 1956 but you make me doubt.
I'll check this at the occasion.
In any case, thx for the information. Pluto2012 (talk) 20:38, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Wikiproject Former Countries

Wikproject Former Countries, despite its name, does not cover only countries. It was created to also cover former and historic administrative subdivisions. Please stop removing it from articles. Dimadick (talk) 19:25, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

The Wikiproject says
WikiProject Former countries is a collaboration for articles about countries that existed in history, but no longer exist as political entities. The project will work towards defining a structure and formulate a template for former countries. For the scope of articles see Category:Former countries.'
It therefore undermines your claim that the project also covers provinces. Unless you give a more solid argument, i shall keep reverting your erroneous edits.Greyshark09 (talk) 19:29, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

Patient Wikipedian

Believe me, I understand what you say and I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble. But have you seen the behavior of anti-Israel editors like this one? (there are plenty of them). It's hard to be patient when the other side doesn't want to contribute, but only write propaganda and violent POV-pushing against Israel. If someone is not more active on this topic, soon Wikipedia will transform in Pallywoopedia before you even notice. You are clearly an efficient and experienced editor who concentrate your editions on neutral articles and it's very important, but when there is a controversial or disputed topic regarding Israel, pro-Palestinian editors do whatever they want. And I can't control them all, so I have to be a little more active than usual.--IranitGreenberg (talk) 16:52, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

I frankly don't care about anti/pro "whatever" editors. I accept your apology, but take into account that whatever issues you are standing for, you will not be able to contribute on them if you are kicked out of wikipedia, and believe me it is very simple - i've seen many kicked already. There is high sensitivity on Israel/Palestine issues, and if you don't withstand the wikipedia guidelines you will be out once and for all. As simple as that (and don't think it is easy to come back).Greyshark09 (talk) 16:59, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Greater Syria

Hi Greyshark, would you mind giving me your views on this on the talk page? I recognise you'd find it easier if we just held an RM, but in my experience that leads to more voting and less thinking / discussing. And this article really needs a proper discussion - in my opinion its content is currently all over the place. Your considered opinion would be very helpful to me here if you have time. Iraq

I just saw what you did to the first Kingdom of Iraq article. Given our previous discussions on this topic, why was i not notified of the RM? As a result another editor has now got confused, set up a second RM and now the two articles overlap. It's a mess which could have been easily avoided. I am really annoyed. Oncenawhile (talk) 21:08, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

You are not correct - i didn't do anything to the "first Kingdom of Iraq" article. Somebody messed it off and this is not related with my move request on Mandatory Iraq. I don't mind to move it back if that is the situation. See may response on Kingdom of Iraq (1932-58).Greyshark09 (talk) 14:49, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
My language was loose, sorry. What i meant was the RM at Kingdom of Iraq (Mandate administration) which resulted in:
(cur | prev) 18:01, 13 May 2013‎ BDD (talk | contribs)‎ m . . (16,028 bytes) (0)‎ . . (BDD moved page Kingdom of Iraq (Mandate administration) to Mandatory Iraq over redirect: RM; see talk page) (undo)
If you look at the talk page immediately above the RM you'll see the conversation where you and I spent two months discussing this topic. So I feel that the least you could have done was notify me of the RM. Oncenawhile (talk) 16:45, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
By the way, i saw you just moved the Kingdom of Iraq article with the edit comment "undiscussed move". Scroll up on the talk page - there was an RM which just finished... Oncenawhile (talk) 16:47, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

There's a large discussion going on about 2001:'s edits to the leads of articles. My revert of him was what you undid here. I've restored it to the original style that complies with WP:MOSBOLD. I maintained your {{fact}} tag. I don't care if you rework the lead's wording--my objections are not content based--but I believe it needs to comply with MOSBOLD. 2001: made a number of these edits without consensus or much explanation; the ones that were under discussion have been maintained, but I undid a number of them as I believe they need some consensus. This is one of those. If you'd like to join in the discussion there please do. Shadowjams (talk) 21:17, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

I don't think i understand you fully. Anyway i shall rework the LEAD, without reverting you.Greyshark09 (talk) 05:32, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Iraqi governorate elections, 2013 (help!)

Hi Greyshark, I was wondering if you could help me with a small problem. My arabic isn't top notch, and I might be just being a bit dense, but in IHEC publications such as this one (the Maysan results), is the third column giving the total number of votes for that coalition? I think it's saying the Number of votes, but it might also be saying vote number (like an identification number for the coalition?). I think it is giving the number of votes, but I also noticed that this number doesn't match the total votes for the candidates for that coalition. So, for example, the Iraqi Front for National Dialogue's candidates in Maysan received 119 votes between the two of them, but the third column number is 309. Am I right in thinking this column is giving the total votes for that coalition? MrPenguin20 (talk) 15:16, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi, the third row is the number of votes for the whole coalition. The document is riddled with spelling errors by the way, so I wouldn't be suprised if they couldn't manage the math as well.--Kathovo talk 10:58, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Please explain your revert reason, "this is not the mainstream agreement per talk", on the Jewish insurgency in Palestine talkpage. As the article's Lead stands, it implies that Jewish insurgency against the British didn't begin until 1944. As the article originally stated before you changed it, and as I have provided sources to show, the insurgency actually started much earlier. Please list which sources you personally are using. Perhaps the article title should be changed to reflect that the article is about Jewish insurgency against the British and that it covers the period from 1944 (e.g. 'Jewish insurgency against the British in Palestine from 1944')?     ←   ZScarpia   13:48, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

all gaza cats

Hi Greryshark. I dont think it makes sense to have categories based on the government, I think it makes more sense to have it based on the territory. So instead of Category:1956 in All-Palestine (Gaza) I think it is better to have Category:1956 in Gaza. Doesnt really matter to me, but it strikes me as odd to say something happened in a government, and a rather odd one at that. nableezy - 19:30, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Languages of the State of Palestine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Greetings, Greyshark09! You recently moved "Battle of Beth Horon" to "Battle of Beth Horon (166 BCE)" and created a redirect leading "Battle of Beth Horon" to "Battle of Beth Horon (66)" Unfortunately, you did not check what links here. There are many pages that link to "Battle_of_Beth_Horon "(166 BCE)" and few that link to "(66)". I hope you won't mind if I alter the redirect to reflect this reality and then individually fix the few pages that refer to "(66)". Kind regards, --@Efrat (talk) 09:24, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

Latakia

The source doesn't say the US officials claim. The source says Israel carried out an air attack in Syria this month that targeted advanced antiship cruise missiles sold to the Syria government by Russia, American officials said And their statement was based on intelligence reports. This news was reported by the reliable New York Times and you also got the news reports pointing at Israel by CNN and the Sunday Times. Reliable media outlets like that wouldn't publish such news if they were merely rumors and they would publish it only if they had some kind of proof or reliable testimony. The only one who said it was possibly the rebels was Hezbollah's Manar TV which is not exactly reliable. The event being reported this much in the news makes it notable, there is no issue of undue weight. Wikipedia is based on verification and reliable sources, and most reliable sources are saying Israel did it. I compromised with you over the word alleged, however your refusal to acknowledge reliable sources who categoricaly state it was Israel is not understandable to me. I am still going to stick to our original agreement of it being alleged even though most confirm it was Israel. EkoGraf (talk) 15:08, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

Because of that claim to look like fact I indeed put the word alleged so it wouldn't be considered as fact. And I regarded it an agreement since at the time when I put the word alleged I said Here, compromise and you didn't react. And even though the sources cann't agree what type of attack it was, bombing, air strike or sub strike, 90 percent of them use one common word for the perpetrator....Israel. However, like I said, alleged is alleged so it will stay that way. EkoGraf (talk) 15:25, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

I've edited a few of your contributions because during the 1917 and 1918 not all of the Palestine and Syrian territories were administered by the British and French. So while your additional categories have been retained I have reinstated reference to Palestine and Syria before British and French administration as this came after the end of the war. These articles deal with the war. Thanks again, --Rskp (talk) 07:36, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your response. The only problem with changing Syria to Ottoman Syria is that its not a category so you create a link to nowhere from a link to somewhere. --Rskp (talk) 00:30, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
I have undone your editing of these categories again, because they are incorrect. While your criticisms may be valid, you should discuss them with those who establish these categories, at WP:CAT. I understand your edits have been made in good faith, however, please do not make them again. --Rskp (talk) 00:48, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

Corrective Movement

You seem to know very little about Syria, Ba'athism and the Corrective Movement in general.... Please. Stop. Please. --TIAYN (talk) 18:20, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

If you want to rename/move article you do WP:RM, please refer to explanations on that. I shall revert your rename until you apply the rules.Greyshark09 (talk) 18:25, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
YOu are like a bottleneck... The page, "Corrective Revolution" should be deleted.. It connects three different subjects which have no connection with each other because they share similar names.... --TIAYN (talk) 19:56, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Can be a disambig page then.Greyshark09 (talk) 19:57, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Or rather, as we do with subjects which are clearly more notable, direct "Corrective Movement" to Hafez al-Assad... The article is titled "Corrective Revolution", not "Corrective Movement".... where corrective revolution came from is another matter entirely, but as always, there seems to be a lack of knowledge in the heart of this matter, and not by us, but those who wrote those articles (or, in all probability, they didn't bother to write decent articles, hoping other would do it for them)... --TIAYN (talk) 20:03, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Please don't violate WP:RM, it is very inconstructive and damaging to the contents. Your editing might be considered disruptive.Greyshark09 (talk) 20:05, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
It's only damaging if we feel its very important for the readers to learn who wrote the article, we are hear to write articles, nothing else. ..... But fine. --TIAYN (talk) 20:13, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Stop, stop, stop... There was never a "Corrective Revolution", and the "Corrective Movement" was first of all, reforms, not a coup.... Read. Learn, stop messing around. --TIAYN (talk) 21:22, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Translation help

Hi Greyshark. I'm currently making SVG versions of the Syrian military flags visible in the background here and here. I was wondering if you could help me with the translation underneath the text? It looks to me that each flag simply says the name of the service (Air Force, Armed Forces, etc), but I just wanted to ask for your opinion incase I've misread it. Thanks. MrPenguin20 (talk) 18:54, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

I saw the flags, most are seen only partially; which exactly?Greyshark09 (talk) 19:58, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
All/any really. The Air Force flag is the clearest (can see it all in the youtube video). Look like it just says Air Force underneath. Then the Army flag it looks to me that the part that's visible is saying "Arab Army," which suggests to me that the whole flag might say Syrian Arab Army. The Naval flag is pretty much the same (looks like it's saying Syrian Arab Navy, although only "Arab Navy" is visible.) It's possible they just say Arab Army and Arab Navy though, there might not be enough space underneath the symbol to fit "Syrian" in. Then I can't make out the line at the top of the Armed Forces Flag (the Syrian flag with the gold writing/symbol), but in the Al Jazeera video where you can see the bottom it looks like it's saying العربية السورية, which would suggest the whole line is القوات المسلحة العربية السورية‎. Think that's what they look like they're saying? MrPenguin20 (talk) 23:59, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay, apparently i was busy with some troublesome editor. For your question - youtube presents four flags, from left to right:
Blue Navy flag (i can just see "the strong men ..."="... القوى"; maybe "اللقوىالبحرية"=strong men of the sea?);
Syrian flag (unclear what is written on it)
Green army flag saying "البرية", probably "القوى البرية"="the strong men of wilderness", i guess infantry or ground forces?
White air force flag ([7]), saying "القوى الجوية"=the strong men of the sky.
Apparently, the flags are containing slogans, not the names of the branches. Looking at the Aljazeera video, i can see left to right the same flags, but now we can spot that the Syrian state flag (second from left) second word seems like "سوري..."="Syrian", but it well could be السورية (unclear). Cheers.Greyshark09 (talk) 21:00, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
That's fantastic! Thanks a lot! MrPenguin20 (talk) 23:24, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Thanks again for the help before. I'm also working on SVG unit insignias for the SAA, which is unfortunately quite difficult given their seeming aversion to any kind of unit identification. However Jakednb at wikicommons has managed to find a couple of images/videos showing some unit insignias. I was wondering if you could help me with the translation? The first three are all in video clips, and can be seen at 0:31, 2:46, and 0:16, and to me look like they all might be saying Special Forces? Then there's a photo available here where the patch looks like it might be saying National Defense (probably a member of the National Defense Force?). The patches here look like they all might be saying Republican Guard? Finally in this photo there's a soldier on the right with some kind of patch, but it's far too small for me to make out. Really any help at all would be appreciated. Thoughts? MrPenguin20 (talk) 21:41, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, but now i couldn't have time for this. i will take a look a little later this month.GreyShark (dibra) 18:44, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

RE: 1970 Syrian Corrective Revolution

While its clear you don't know crap about what you're talking about, the Corrective Revolution and the Corrective Movement are the same thing, for instance, Ibrahim Elbadawi in his book Democracy in the Arab World: Explaining the Deficit says "Between 1946 and 1970, 21 coups and counter-coups took place until Hafez Assad assumed power in the aftermath of a bloodless intra-party coup, known as the Corrective Movement." While its surprising that most historians don't even know what the Corrective Movement is, what is clear is that there is no difference between the Corrective Movement and the Corrective Revolution.. .For fuck sake, you don't know crap about this topic, either begin to read about the topic, or stop coming with unconstructive, factual inaccurate statements.. You are defending factual inaccuracy. --TIAYN (talk) 08:41, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

"imaginary and false map" is a very interesting description for the widely used Syrian map, which happens to be the mainstream applied map of the Arab Republic of Syria in wikipedia per community consensus at Template_talk:Location_map_Syria (where you also kind of agreed to apply it).GreyShark (dibra) 21:44, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

1970 Syrian Corrective Movement

You are the only user who is having problems with this Greyshark09, its you, and only you.. I've given you, and the WP community, sources which backs up the claim that the Corrective Movement was a reform program which began immediately after the coup. You, however, haven't given me any sources. While I know you're very keen on following WP:CONSENSUS, you also know consensus can only be reached through WP:VERIFIABILITY.. If I'm wrong, disprove me, don't just revert me.. Give me the sources, and when you have done that tell me why prominent historians such as Patrick Seale, Robert Freedmen and Raymond Hinnebusch are useless when writing about the Corrective Revolution/Movement, but not when writing about Assad, the 1963 or 1966 coup.. If you are able to do these things we would have solved this conflict a long time ago, but instead of being reasonable you are just saying I'm wrong (without giving any evidence, how am I or any other reasonable person be able to discuss with you if you just keep on with the old mantra "i'm right")... Give me sources, and if you don't find them you're views don't really count, do they? That's WP policy, follow WP policy.--TIAYN (talk) 19:49, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Instead of disrupting the move proposal process, give me the sources so that we can solve this problem.. Do you want to solve this? --TIAYN (talk) 21:22, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
Are you planning to end the edit warring, and reply? I'm not even offensive, but you seem to go to all other channels except me and accuse my edits of being disruptive.. I'm really interested in this, how are my edits disruptive, how? they are backed by sources, so I'm really wondering, how are they disruptive. --TIAYN (talk) 21:51, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
I'm waiting. You are the only one who opposes my edits on the Corrective Revolution, so reply. I will continue "bugging you" until you reply. --TIAYN (talk) 22:01, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
The issue is your mismanagement of the editing procedures, not your edits (which of course are contested by many users, but again the issue is different). You should take into account WP:5P and WP:MOVE.GreyShark (dibra) 16:47, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
The only person who anything against my edits to the Corrective Revolution article is you, you are the one who keeps on insisting keeping the old, unreferenced article.. If you mean that in all the articles I edit I should ask other people for permission, you are wrong, thats not how WP work. I'm talking about you reverting the changes I've made to the article. --TIAYN (talk) 16:33, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Esteemed Wikipedia colleague: a discussion has been started at Talk:Syrian civil war#Section 2 (Events): five chronology-problems, concerning problems in section 2 of Syrian civil war. I invite you to give us your opinions on suggestions brought forward in that discussion, for as far as those suggestions don’t leave you indifferent. Corriebertus (talk) 15:00, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Give the the source then...

But tell me, how was it a coup?? Sadat succeeded Nasser in post, per the constitution.. No problem there. He rose to power legally, so how in gods name could it be a coup? Secondly, it was launched in May 1971, 6 months after Sadat took power. Learn you're history for god's sake. --TIAYN (talk) 18:43, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

The corrective revolution in Egypt refers to the May 15-17 "coup attempt" [8][9], and not just the "package of reforms" which followed.GreyShark (dibra) 18:46, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
this is what the corrective revolution.. A quick look through Google Books shows that the majority of sources refer to it as a change of some sorts... Secondly, it was launched, officially, as a response to a failed coup attempt against Sadat.. But there was never a coup, and Sadat took power in 1970.. There are some who use the word lightly, as those writers stating that Sadat, who already had power, launched a coup against the Nasserites.. But again, the more normal word if you search Google Books is "purge" and not "coup". --TIAYN (talk) 18:49, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
Honestly, I've told them the truth.. and I've told them that the best decision would that they should block both of us, until you and I begin to discuss why you are against any change to the 1970 Syrian Corrective Revolution page. I think they should block both of us, since you are denying to talk to me about the future of the article (which makes it impossible to improve an article which needs much needed attention). --TIAYN (talk) 19:12, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Why am I blocked without any violation of wikipedia rules while the other person violated 3RR?GreyShark (dibra) 20:57, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
One does not have to actually violate 3RR in order to be edit warring, which is against policy. If you read Wikipedia:Edit warring, it says this about 3RR:

The rule is not an entitlement to revert a page a specific number of times.

Additionally, I did not see much attempt to come to a consensus, which is a problem, as explained in the template immediately above. Magog the Ogre (tc) 03:39, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
@Magog the Ogre: Well, unless you unblock me, this may become a very unfortunate case of violating the WP:PUNITIVE policy. Considering the fact that i stopped editing the page Template:Egypt Protests and Revolutions when reaching 3RR's and issuing a request for administrator action, there was absolutely no concern about any further reverts on my behalf following the complaint (I must also emphasize that i have never violated 3RR on wikipedia). Hence, blocking me after i had stopped editing that page and asked 3RR resolution is WP:PUNITIVE.GreyShark (dibra) 17:24, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
Regarding "discussion attempts", the referred user has been engaging in disruptive behavior on Corrective Revolution-related pages and Single-party state page for the last month, and was repelled a number of times from 1970 Syrian Corrective Revolution by me and administrator user:JHunterJ and from Single-party state by user:Danlaycock; JHunterJ even blocked the 1970 Syrian Corrective Revolution page from that editor's destructive editing habits - you may quickly inspect the history to see what had happened there. Multiple discussions on TIAYN's edit proposals are still ongoing at the talk:1970 Syrian Corrective Revolution involving numerous users, including me; furthermore he was warned multiple times by JHunterJ [10], but the referred user openly announced he would revert me, JHunterJ and others in any case and indeed tried to do so on every "Corrective Revolution"-related pages, like Corrective Revolution (South Yemen) and lately Template:Egypt Protests and Revolutions. So if you think those discussions were not enough after TIYAN's announcements like this and this (including the "f" word multiple times), it is a wikipedia systematic regulation problem if he is still at large.GreyShark (dibra) 17:24, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
It has been my experience at working WP:AN3 that enforcing edit warring blocks does in fact curb the behavior in general; users are less likely to do it in the future. In this case, as I said, you didn't begin any attempt to discuss until after making several reverts. Yes, I know the other user may have been disruptive, but two wrongs don't make a right, and the outcome was the same - you still didn't get your preferred version. As for a user who consistently refuses to listen, honestly I don't even know where to start to help you, because even eit warring doesn't seem to have the effect of helping against such people. I would consider asking at WP:AN when your block is up (in about an hour) and making clear that you are asking for advice in a situation and not asking for any administrator action. Magog the Ogre (tc) 18:41, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
Since you are admitting of executing WP:PUNITIVE towards me, i have no choice but to report this incident.GreyShark (dibra) 20:56, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
My edits are not unconstructive, and its funny, I've asked you several times to point out how my edits on 1970 Syrian Corrective Revolution is unconstructive (and you've failed to respond).. And secondly JHunterJ agrees with my edits, he does, however does not like the fact that I force my edits on the article without consulting you (but I've given up on that).. Please stop saying my edits are unconstructive or that I'm bad in general. Just grow up, and let's try to find a solution to improve the article . --TIAYN (talk) 19:54, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Unless you begin to tell me in words how I've changed topic (its the very same information in this page as in the previous version, just longer) or introduced disputed material my version will stay.. However, if you begin to tell me whats actual wrong with my version by actually telling me (not saying, its wrong, it blanking, its disputed, its another topic) we can revert to the old version until we've reached a conclusion. But we can only do this if you actually tell me whats wrong with the current version, which you've consistently failed to do (since I don't know what you want, and therefore, I can't improve the article...). --TIAYN (talk) 22:28, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Greetings, Greyshark09! May I ask what was your reason for removing the dates from the "Maccabean Revolt" campaignbox? (Apart from simply standardization) (I'm not a big fan of stadardization!) I, for one, prefered it with the dates. Also, the presently used campaignbox (without dates) is not arranged chronologically! Kind regards, --@Efrat (talk) 09:46, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

The campaignbox has a standard and we should consider this; anyway we cannot have two boxes - this is confusing. If you think the current box is not arranged, you are welcome to fix it; you may also add dates in brackets for each battle if you like.GreyShark (dibra) 12:35, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
OK, I arranged the battles chronologically. As for dates in the box, a quick survey of campignbox templates shows that the overwhelming majority do not contain dates. As dates are permissible, I will not object if someone else decides to put them in. Kind regards, --@Efrat (talk) 06:50, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
