Welcome!

Hello, Gudnykb, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for helping us build a great free encyclopedia. We have five basic principles, but other than that, we advise that you be bold and edit. If you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to leave a message at the help desk, and other Wikipedia editors will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again and congratulations on becoming a Wikipedian!

P.S. New discussion threads for you will appear at the bottom of this page.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bibliodrama as a way of intercultural learning for adults, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.basicsproject.eu/index.php?lang=en.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Bibliodrama as a way of intercultural learning for adults

[edit]

Hello Gudnykb,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bibliodrama as a way of intercultural learning for adults for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks,  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 15:28, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article BASICS – bibliodrama as a way of intercultural learning for adults has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems to be advertising , language is not english, no structure, copyvio as well from www.egyhazforum.hu

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BASICS – bibliodrama as a way of intercultural learning for adults, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Gudnykb: Please don't add material in Icelandic to the English-language Wikipedia. BASICS - Bibliodrama was deleted as non-notable, but the fact that it was not in English did not help, because it made it hard for English-speaking editors to evaluate the topic and possibly to add references. I note that you have previously written on the same topic, at BASICS – bibliodrama as a way of intercultural learning for adults (also in Icelandic, and then recreated in English as a copyright violation), and in English but again with copyright violation, at Bibliodrama as a way of intercultural learning for adults. The topic may or may not be notable enough for Wikipedia. Please read the guideline on notability either as linked above, or on Icelandic Wikipedia. But you must write about it neutrally, not in a way that seems to be advertising it. And you must not copy text from anywhere else, online or off. If you really want to have this on the English Wikipedia rather than on the Icelandic Wikipedia, I suggest making it a very short and simple article to avoid the temptation to copy wording, and to keep it neutral. Just explain what it is in your own words. But there is also one more important thing. None of your versions of this article have had references. English Wikipedia requires references (usually footnotes) to show that the topic has been written about in many other places - which is how we define notability. The requirement is not as strict on many other Wikipedias, so again, you might have more success simply writing about this on the Icelandic Wikipedia. But if you continue to create articles on English Wikipedia, they need to have references. (Just the websites of the participating institutions are not enough.) Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Group choice by the individual participants own fund voting. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Sequential Choice and Fund Voting. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Sequential Choice and Fund Voting – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Dai Pritchard (talk) 10:49, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Sequential Choice and Fund Voting

[edit]

The article Sequential Choice and Fund Voting has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Almost certainly consists mostly of copyright violations, namely of the pages used as references. Since they're dead or inaccessible pages, I can't confirm this enough to call this a speedy.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

A tag has been placed on Democracy Center, Reykjavik Academy, Iceland requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
