I appreciate that you are acting in good faith, but it is best if featured articles are nominated by people who have worked closely on them. In this way, they can give reasoned replies to reviewers and be familiar enough with the sources to act on suggested improvements. Someone who has not worked on the article can not provide this input, so the nomination may continue until opposition to it becomes so overwhelming that the article is failed; this takes away time from reviewers. While the September 11 attacks article is of reasonable quality, it is not yet of featured quality, and principal contributors must be consulted before a nomination, as required in the featured article candidate instructions. Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock #1849044 lifted or expired.

Request handled by: Hersfold (t/a/c)

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Please do not upload files with false or unjustified copyright tags. I have nominated Gilligan's Island (film), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gilligan's Island (film). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. —Mike Allen 06:08, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kaye Capron has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Ron Ritzman (talk) 03:04, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Bieber fever requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. File source problem with File:Leedewyze.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Leedewyze.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:50, 27 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 17:50, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am in the process of creating a bot that would periodically scan the Good articles, checking to see if {{Good article}} had been placed on them, per this discussion. I noticed that you created an account called "Goodarticlebot" at the end of May (see Special:Logs/User:Goodarticlebot); are you planning to run a similar bot to what I have described? I only ask because I don't want to make a duplicate bot if you were already planning to do something like this. Please let me know if these are your intentions, or if I should go ahead with making my bot. Thanks much, Robert Skyhawk (T C B) 02:31, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Toystory3teaserposter.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Toystory3teaserposter.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 03:10, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Teaserpostertoystory3.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Teaserpostertoystory3.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hi, I reverted your addition of another request to TFAR because there already five "specific date" requests, which is the maximum allowed at any time. Dabomb87 (talk) 13:58, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Arthur Bowen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 03:44, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Radcliffe 1725785c.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Radcliffe 1725785c.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:05, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll admit I have not really monitored the article much, so I'm sure you'll do a good job. What I will say though is 1. Do you have the ultimate DVD? I imagine that would have some stuff of use. 2. Half-Blood Prince film[edit]

I'll be willing to work with you on getting this up to GA. I'll look around for some better refs. I also spotted a "citation needed" tag in the soundtrack section. If you reply here, please leave a talkback template on my talk page so I'll know!! Thanks, Glimmer721 talk 19:58, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think this is a better source instead of The Leaky Cauldron? --Glimmer721 talk 19:45, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've found that the fansites usually link to where they've gotten the information from--I've gotten rid of a few this way. Happy searching! --Glimmer721 talk 01:20, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Question: the ending of the "Development" section kind of runs into my differences from the book section, but the ending of it is from SnitchSeeker. Yet it is not marked with "dubious link". Should I? I couldn't find the mention of the funeral scene in all the what-you-took-out interviews I looked at. Also, reference 83 (the one tagged as "copyright violation" does not link to the right place. It goes to a TV spot rather then talking about what's in 3D--Glimmer721 talk 01:50, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Funny, Order of the Phoenix (film) is GA and it contains a lot of stuff from MuggleNet, The Leaky Cauldron, and HPANA. There's also a few dead links. (The Hollywood Reporter recently went through a redesign and for some reason none of their links are working, though.) In terms of referencing, I think Half-Blood Prince is actually better... --Glimmer721 talk 02:03, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure! Glimmer721 talk 20:20, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I own The Deathly Hallows Lectures by John Granger, which explores some of the Christian allegory, literary alchemy, etc. I've also looked through the article's references...I think #29 needs a web archive link. Glimmer721 talk 21:03, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How much do you think the Christian allegory stuff should be expanded? The book I have has a whole chapter. I think Religious debates over the Harry Potter series should hold most of the information. Glimmer721 talk 21:36, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fine with me, I just throught it would help organize the article. Glimmer721 talk 22:32, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Question: how was Rowling's notebook found? Does Sharpiro's book say? Glimmer721 talk 00:33, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have time right now to add this to the article (dinner is calling!) but here's a review: [1] and I think there's another on the talk page. I might be back on later. Glimmer721 talk 23:56, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks to me like paperback came out on July 7, 2009 (according to Amazon). According to several fansites, there was a paperback release party. But the UK edition came out earlier, and there are several editions I think the article will be good for FAC after this. Glimmer721 talk 19:52, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm think of working on Half-Blood Prince for GA, I noticed there was no critical reception. Glimmer721 talk 01:27, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Of HPB? Sure, after I finish the reviews. Glimmer721 talk 02:14, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Would this count as a book/film comparison? Glimmer721 talk 02:42, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, it was simply a habit. Glimmer721 talk 23:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, well, at least we now have a copyeditor on the way. I'll look over it again. Anyway, what do you think of adding an audiobook section? Here is a review of the American edition, mentioning it was also awarded the Earphone award. Glimmer721 talk 22:47, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe...I'm jsut having touble finding release date and British adaption info, even though I'm assuming it was released July 21st like the book. Dale also won a Grammy. Glimmer721 talk 23:07, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

HP books[edit]

It looks like Deathly Hallows is shaping up, but it seems Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Half-Blood Prince may need a bit of work before we try for a GA topic. I've added critical reception to the above, leaving out two reviews I found for GoF--they were both for Entertainment Weekly by the same author, but the wording was different. Anyway, if you could just look over and see what might need to be done, that'd bee great! BTW, congrats on that GA article! Glimmer721 talk 16:13, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just to let you know i plan to review your GA nom of Daniel Radcliffe within the next couple of days. Regards Monkeymanman (talk) 21:43, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, sorry but i have failed the GA nom of the article Daniel Radcliffe. Dont't despair though, the article is very nearly there as a Good article. The main sticking points that i felt were not up to standard was the refs. Too many unreliable sources are used and the awards section does not have any. If you have any other questions about how to improve the article or where its failing let me know. Monkeymanman (talk) 17:40, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Great news that you are starting to work on the King's Speech article! It's amazing how much attention the film, and the wiki article, are still receiving. Having largely written the article as it is now, I'm looking forward to see the outcome of the peer review, and I'll definitely be able to help you with the work that comes out of that. Just to give you notice, after some suggestions and references passed to me by a wikipedia colleague, I'm planning to break the visuals sub-section into its own section. Otherwise I'd be of the option that any major structural changes, deletions or rewrites would require a discussion on the talk page first. Good luck and best wishes, --Ktlynch (talk) 11:29, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your continued commitment to the article. For the sake of collaboration, could I ask you to use edit summaries to explain your edits and their rationale please? You have made a large number of minor changes without marking them as such (please do that also), many of them seem to lack a substantive reason, and others changed established convention in the article for stylistic reasons. Thanks and best wishes, --Ktlynch (talk) 18:26, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm sorry to keep going about this, but since the review I'm coming back to this article to perfect it. Firstly, why have you decided to change the format of references? It was acceptable before. Secondly, if you insist on changing them all can you please do it in one or two edits? Clogging up the history with 40 edits each changing one bracket or punctuation mark (in references) is simply silly. It also makes new changes hard to monitor. Best, --Ktlynch (talk) 09:59, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So are you going to nominate it? You can do it on the talk page of the article. See here: Wikipedia:A-class film candidates/A instructions. Two uninvolved editors must agree. Best, --Ktlynch (talk) 16:07, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Ted-williams-statue crop 340x234.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ted-williams-statue crop 340x234.jpg, which you've sourced to bleacherreport.com. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 23:46, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GA review[edit]

Hello, I've reviewed The Falcon and the D'ohman. Please see the review page. Glimmer721 talk 16:24, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Potter[edit]

I'd love to get back to working on the book articles...Goblet needs some more reviews and detail on the film section and probably a themes/style section. I think we should also add a "Development" section similar to the HBP article and put that before the plot summary. I'll work on making the plot summary more concise, too, although it's one of the longest and most complicated of the HP books. Glimmer721 talk 18:12, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking we work on Prisoner of Azkaban first as it appears to be closer to GA than Goblet. We also need to make sure the other books are still GA quality (no dead links, etc). A little while ago I replaced the plot summary in Chamber of Secrets which had become atrociously long and unwikified to a version in the article previously, but this was reverted because the version I put in apparently omitted one piece of information and I received a sort of friendly lecture (unsigned) on the talk page. Maybe I'll get up the courage to replace it again with the addition of that one sentence sometime in the future...also, I noticed that the Deathly Hallows plot summary has increased since our FA nom, unless that was just my eyes. Glimmer721 talk 02:05, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What do you think we should do with the "Sales" section on Prisoner? I've got the 2008 Guinness which has a special section on HP and says how much they have sold...but then that's 4 years outdated. Glimmer721 talk 02:25, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I'll add that when I find out where my brother put the book. Glimmer721 talk 02:29, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
