An editor has nominated the article Yummy (Gwen Stefani song) for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yummy (Gwen Stefani song). Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Yummy (Gwen Stefani song) during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. A tag has been placed on Relax And Take Notes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Geniac 17:30, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Pourin' Up, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Yummy_(Gwen_Stefani_song)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Yummy_(Gwen_Stefani_song), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yummy_(Gwen_Stefani_song). If you can indicate how Yummy_(Gwen_Stefani_song) is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Yummy_(Gwen_Stefani_song) saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. Pan Dan 22:19, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Wanna Move(Diddy song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Go Crazy[edit]

A tag has been placed on Go Crazy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Geniac 05:22, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Akon Discography[edit]

I'd like to know why all of the worldwide charts were taken down and replaced with US Charts only. I dont think that it is a good idea because Akon's songs are charted worldwide. The discography page should not be limited to ONLY the US Charts. I'd like to know why you removed them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Taker 1192 (talkcontribs) 20:30, 16 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Edit summary usage[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. --NickContact/Contribs 00:19, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

50 Cent discography[edit]

Hi Gy. Just a minor note. When editing headings, you don't need to start every word with capitals like "Solo Singles" (see WP:HEAD). The only words that should be in capitals are special words like pronouns e.g. "The Game". Spellcast 16:26, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Slim Thug discography, by ZBrannigan (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Slim Thug discography seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Slim Thug discography, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:42, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to The Game (rapper), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Why do edits like these? Isn't it kind of pointless to say "featuring Jamie Foxx" in every line? Spellcast (talk) 08:21, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Plies (rapper). When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. "Holla at Me"[edit]

FYI: The "Holla at Me" article you created has been moved to Holla at Me (song) per Wikipedia:naming conventions. You could have created the article at the Holla at Me redirect page that already existed. You may want submit move request to move the page over the redirect. In the mean time, can you add some references to the song stub to establish its notability so it doesn't get redirected back to the album? If you need help, feel free to ask. Thanks. • Gene93k (talk) 13:49, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rumors[edit]

Do not add rumors to Wikipedia without valid sources backing up the rumors. And even with valid sources, the addition of rumors to Wikipedia articles are often disputed on Wikipedia.

Also, we go by last names here in articles for real-life people, not first names. After mentioning Aubrey O'Day's first name, for example, we then go by her last name of O'Day only. Flyer22 (talk) 23:40, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Everything, Everyday, Everywhere"[edit]

Please do not break redirects to articles of non-notable songs, as you did with Everything, Everyday, Everywhere. This article is redirected because it fails to meet the criteria of our inclusion guideline. As is specifically states here, Most songs do not rise to notability for an independent article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for the songwriter, a prominent album or for the artist who prominently performed the song. Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been performed independently by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable. The song doesn't meet our inclusion criteria, and therefore must redirect to Loso's Way if and when it becomes notable. Thank you. — Σxplicit 22:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Source Presents: Hip Hop Hits, Vol. 9 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
