A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Hälssen & Lyon/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Kpgjhpjm 09:10, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Hi, I already added the paid contribution disclosure to our account (in German). Actually, I wasn't aware that you have to do this for every additonal language? Can you please unblock me so that I can add the paid contribution disclousre to our user page? Thank you.
The article itself is only a high level information on our company and in fact a translationof the already existing German Wikidpedia article.https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%A4lssen_%26_Lyon Hälssen & Lyon (talk) 09:41, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't mentioned all the other things that are wrong with the article. It's written in a promotional tone, and your username is contrary to our guidelines. Deb (talk) 11:08, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, we are not advertising any of our products but are providing information of our company and our history. As you have blocked the account we are not able to to any changes.
Verification of the account already took place on 25 March 2024 - please see this link https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:H%C3%A4lssen_%26_Lyon. The explanation "paid-contribution disclosure" is also included there.
I see your point in regards of the username. Although I'm wondering why we haev been able to verify it.
Kind regards, Hälssen & Lyon. Hälssen & Lyon (talk) 11:28, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You say that you are not advertising your products, and yet you write promotional content like this: "H&L's portfolio also includes instant products, decaffeinated teas and iced teas. The B2B company offers all stages of the value chain for the tea product range: from procurement, processing and refinement to packaging and delivery." It's simply not acceptable to write like that. See the Wikipedia:Neutral point of view policy. Deb (talk) 11:57, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please be aware of an important difference between German and English Wikipedia. While the German Wikipedia allows verified accounts to be named after companies and organizations, English Wikipedia does not. Accounts on English Wikipedia are for individual access, never to be shared, and therefore must be named to reflect individual use. Therefore, in order to edit on English Wikipedia, you must change your username - this is non-negotiable.
And yes, you are required to provide paid editing disclosure on every language version of Wikipedia you edit. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:27, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for clarification. Hälssen & Lyon (talk) 06:17, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Will the account be deleted in all languages or only in the English version once the speedy deletion process has been completed? Hälssen & Lyon (talk) 06:31, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think you have misunderstood. The sandbox article you created (User:Hälssen & Lyon/sandbox) has already been deleted. Your account will not be deleted (in fact, it cannot be deleted), it is just currently blocked from editing on English Wikipedia.
If you wish to regain your account's editing rights on English Wikipedia, then you must submit an unblock request with the {{unblock-spamun}} template. You will have to include a proposed new account name, and your reason for requesting an unblock. The guide to appealing blocks has advice on how to write an effective unblock request.
Please note that changing your account's name will apply globally across all language-versions of Wikipedia, and other Wikimedia projects (for example, Wikimedia Commons). However, all of your past edits will be retained under the new name. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:16, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you for clarifying. Hälssen & Lyon (talk) 06:39, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
