Proposed deletion of Nesby Phips[edit]

The article Nesby Phips has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Notability is not inherited, and therefore he is not made more notable by who he has played or toured with. In fact, he looks less notable when this kind of "famous by association" is used. This is especially the case when these associations are taken from an interview. Interviews, because they are the person speaking about himself, do not confer notability. So rely less on pumping him up and more on the facts. Avoid promotional language like "fan favorite". (See WP:PEACOCK). The standard for musicians is WP:NMUSIC so you should aim at an article that addresses the notability standards in there - such as "major label", "charting", and being reviewed in major media.
