Regency articles

[edit]

Hi Han4299! I have seen you have added Makassarese names and pronunciations to articles of kabupatens with predominant and significant Makassarese populations. I hope you don't mind I have removed the accent marks in the romanizations, because IPA does the job anyway, and also because people rarely use stress marks when writing Makassarese in Latin script.

Just curious: do you really say [ɟeʔnɛʔˈpontɔ]? I (admittedly being a non-native speaker) say [ɟeʔneʔˈpɔntɔ] based on what I have heard from the people around me when lived in the midst of a Makassarese-speaking quarter in Mariso. Maybe we can circumvent the problem by just using /e/ and /o/ in phonemic slashes? Austronesier (talk) 19:05, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Synorem. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Eastern Indonesia, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Synorem (talk) 13:31, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
