Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. Dude. This is not your life. Please let it go. I do not want this information all in one spot. It is so embarrassing.

Information icon Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Heather Purser—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Serols (talk) 16:50, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How is it not constructive? This wiki page is so embarrassing. Additionally, THE INFORMATION IS NOT ACCURATE!!!!! This is why no one takes wikipedia seriously.

My "conflict of interest" is that the information is wrong and/or uncomfortable. Why does this stuff need to be known? Why does it NEED to be included? What the heck is it to you? It's not your life.

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Heather.Purser. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. El_C 17:02, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quit harassing me and take this stuff down!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heather.Purser (talkcontribs)

Please Stop[edit]

I really need you guys to either take down my entire page or leave out the early life and sexuality section. Please think how this impacts me. It makes it difficult in so many ways and I wish I had been on medication back then as I have a very serious mental condition I was not aware of at the time when I over-shared all that. I have tried getting it down a few times over the years. Can you help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heather.Purser (talkcontribs)

I will look into it. El_C 17:24, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Neither me nor anyone else tried to harass you. It's normal, that new Editors don't know about all the rules there are on Wikipedia, the comments on your talk page were ment to inform you of these rules. The sections you were removing are probably sourced and Verifiable. Your attempt to delete the content from Wikipedia was reverted by another editor, which generally mean, that they disagree, that it should be removed. I see you took the issue to the Articles Talk Page around 30 Minutes ago. This is way to less time for others to read and comment on it. Give the issue some time on the talk page and others might be able to give you advice on how to continue. --Info-Screen::Talk 17:29, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I only said that because it doesn't feel like anyone listens. I do not think you are harassing me and never have. It's funny that you say my lies can't be lies just because I say they are lies. LOL. I guess not everything I said was a lie or not a lie at all but I needed to provide context, be more compassionate, and be less of a victim at that time in my life. I used that whole period of media coverage to get back at my mother for being an incredibly flawed, traumatized human who hurt her children. self-pity, even when it is the truth, feels like a lie. attention-seeking feels like a lie. These things happened but I regret sharing it with anyone because there is a lot more to it and all of that is just my business anyway. I do not want that all available in one spot on wikipedia. It is also super embarrassing when people who are first getting to know me look me up. The articles where these things are located provide a bit of a cushion so them seeing it there is not as bad. This is pretty devastating! Really, I have just traumatized myself through attention-seeking self-exposure. I am just asking you guys take it down and leave it down. I apologize if I have not gone about this in the right way. It is an emotionally charged thing to engage with and I am doing the best I can with what abilities I have because OBVIOUSLY, I have some mental/emotional issues going on. I do not want to offend anyone, I'd rather just try to keep my weird to myself. I was a young, undmedicated alcoholic back then and this is a pretty big reminder.

Why is it such a big deal to take down information the SUBJECT says is not true?????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heather.Purser (talkcontribs)
Because we follow what reliable sources say — that is the only way information is verified on Wikipedia. El_C 17:29, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Simply denying the information doesn't make it true. Wikipedia relies on using sources that are secondary to the subject, and reliable for being truthful. If you wish for it to be reworded, a consensus may be reached at Talk:Heather Purser.

Hope that resolves any outstanding issues. El_C 17:29, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Heather.Purser: In case you are not aware, the correct noticeboard to get discussion on an issue like this is WP:BLPN. Johnuniq (talk) 00:14, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I Agree With You[edit]

I think that some users have been negatively adding stuff on your user page. If anybody is not happy with this comment, please leave a comment on my talk to let me know. Ghost finders (talk) 04:13, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think you mean encyclopedia article, not user page. There is no user page User:Heather Purser.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 15:56, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
