Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Seeing Is Believing—because it did not appear constructive. Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Paris (Jon English musical) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. "See also" should list only links to existing articles with a clear connection to the topic. bonadea contributions talk 08:29, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello & thank you for your detailed response. In regards to the producer Harry Michaels & his SBS tv show called Seeing is Believing" I was affiliated with the show. I was one of his shows onscreen tv reporters. Seeing I'm new here & have a lot to learn, are you saying that wiki doesn't want people to add content regarding this show & it's cast members? I'm not being paid for this. I was an on-screen reporter for this show when I was a child. How does Wiki get it's information if it's not from the source or cast members? I'm a little confused, but hopefully will figure out what is acceptable content for wiki. Helen Anton (talk) 03:10, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We do want you to contribute, but on Wikipedia, sources have to be published–we can't rely on word of mouth. ––FormalDude (talk) 04:02, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Mentor 🤗
Thank you so much for your prompt response. It seems I have a lot to learn here.
In regards to "published" items does Wiki accept uploaded formal newspaper articles, tv programs, tv footage as evidence, to support ones claim? Basically to prove a tv show & it's cast existed? This goes for documentaries, tv shows, musicals etc?
I know this might be a silly question, but if I don't ask, I'll never learn. I think what's confusing me is .....When you say "published" & by whom? Media, magazine articles/reports sufficient sources too?
Thank you so much for your patience. I hope I haven't given you a headache.
Your assistance is much appreciated.

You're welcome to use the mentor question tool for new questions, but for replies about the same topic, let's keep them in the same thread. Yes, any of those sources you mention are published–see Wikipedia:Published#Examples for more. Now that's not the only requirement for a source to be used on Wikipedia, it also has to be reliable. ––FormalDude (talk) 05:02, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
