Changing the article name[edit]

Hi, just answering your question from the Help desk, which I notice you also asked another user about. The answer is, if an article is incorrectly named (such as, in this case, with an inappropriate hyphen), all you have to do is click the tab up the top marked "move" and give the article the correct title. The old article will then become a Redirect, so any articles linking to it shouldn't be adversely affected (and if they are, it's relatively easy to fix).

Just another note, when you're putting messages on people's talk pages, and on pages like the Help desk, could you please sign them? Just type four tildes: ~~~~ (or click the little image that looks like a signature in the row above the edit box) at the end of your message, and that way people know who said what. Correction to Article Title[edit]

I would like to remove the hypen between 'Kinder-Morgan' in the page titled Kinder-Morgan Energy Partners. Will this affect pages linked to this article?

As outlined on your page by others, use the move function. Then click the What links here link in the toolbox and modify those articles to go directly to the new name so as to avoid the redirects. - Leonard G. 03:13, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
