A barnstar for you![edit]

The Barnstar of Good Humor
Hi Hemdee Kiwanuka, aka DeeAfrican. Thank you for being so cheerful on the IRC, it made my day! Thanks again, Matty.007 17:03, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Life is too short to get up set over the little things... Since I've been on Wikipedia, I've seen people get upset for deleting or declining their creations. That's not me... Sometime I might get someone who doesn't want to help and today I found someone who went above and beyond, so I had to let you know that you were great and you also made my day, because I came closer to my article getting accepted. Keep being you and thank you for the help.--DeeAfrican 02:34, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of African musicians, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages AY and Nameless (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

RadioFan, Thank you so much for being so kind... I read about your profile and I loved what you said in there "You said that you love helping new users and help them to get better". Since I am a new user and I am still learning how things are done on Wikipedia, I prefer having people such as yourself to look over my work and make it better or let me know how I can make it better. I have been working on two more articles, but if you can please take a look at my article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Halima_Namakula any help or opinions are very welcome. Thank you--DeeAfrican 21:20, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Signature[edit]

Please go to your Preferences page and, about half-way through the page, in the Signature section, place the code below in your Signature: box and check the Treat the above as wiki markup checkbox. This will allow people to more easily communicate with you when you sign your postings to a talk page with "~~~~".

Copy the following line into your signature:

– DeeAfrican (talk)

The resulting signature will look like this:

DeeAfrican (talk) timestamp

(except the (talk) will be a blue link that people can click on to post to your talk page)

If you want "DeeAfrican" to be blue also (instead of a redlink), just create your userpage with something on it. Just click on User:Hemdee Kiwanuka, edit, and save it. You might use something like:

Hi. I'm Hemdee (a.k.a. DeeAfrican) from Rwanda, in East Africa

I hope this helps. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 01:47, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Africa Award
Thanks for your work on the Rwandan music scene and other articles on topics from the region! I left Kigali on Aug. 7 after living there two years, and I was just trying to expand the articles on musicians myself - so glad to see I'm not alone! Feel free to drop me a line if you'd ever like a second pair of eyes on anything you put together. I'd certainly value your opinion on Rwanda articles I try to put together. Best wishes, Lemurbaby (talk) 17:31, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lemurbaby-

Thank you for noticing and I am also glad that I am not alone... Our industry is just growing and it's very hard for our artists to get onto all the main platforms like wikipedia/Vivo and others. I am a promoter from the East African region, so I know a lot of what is going on in East Africa and I am sad that the world doesn't know some of the happenings in East Africa and I hope we will be able to help. Please check out this article and if it ready to go live https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Hemdee_Kiwanuka/Rachel_Kay if so can you please let it through. --DeeAfrican (talk) 00:41, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Rachel K (musician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Reference links are mostly dead, with no presence online and the person does not pass the notability criteria of Wikipedia.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
