Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Murv Jacob requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here.  SAMI  talk 18:13, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Holly, I've added some references to the draft article Draft:Murv Jacob (I think it's better to develop this there first, before it's in the main article space). It still needs some more referencing. Jodi.a.schneider (talk) 20:16, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:Murv Jacob has a new comment[edit]

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Murv Jacob. Thanks! Rankersbo (talk) 07:02, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rabbit Plants the Forest, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.openisbn.com/isbn/9780826336910/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Stop icon Your addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rabbit and the Well requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.unmpress.com/books.php?ID=11725248431795. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

To elaborate on the above warnings....[edit]

A Wikipedia editor can not merely copy content from another website, paste it here and call it an article. Another issue in the case of the above books is the requirement that their notability be established via reliable third-party sources. The integral issue here is that of WP:COI, since you're attempting to write articles about your parents' work. This can be done, but it's difficult, and requires experience and a strong understanding of encyclopedic guidelines. Cheers, JNW (talk) 17:43, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As explained on a talk page, which I have just deleted, so I am repeating here, if you want to use the words your mother wrote, we need to have the permission on file. See WP:DCP, especially WP:DONATETEXT.--S Philbrick(Talk) 20:06, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Murv Jacob draft[edit]

I saw your question at the Teahouse, and added a some material to your draft at User:Hollyelizabethstar/sandbox. I also changed some of the section titles. The Cherokee Encyclopedia article was on Google Books, [here]. I noticed that some of your links had auto-generated titles. Maybe you could look at Template: Cite web and reformat the cites, they would look nicer that way. Good luck, hope it passes if you submit it again. -- Margin1522 (talk) 09:19, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
