critique of "Community Radio in Canada"

Hi, your article “Community Radio in Canada looks great. It is well thought out and organized. You’ve also used a good variety of sources. I do not think that there is much to be fixed. However, the language in the second lead paragraph could be more neutral. The last sentence, especially, takes on a very positive tone.--Harkiret (talk) 18:56, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

Peer Review

Your article is a very thorough overview of the state of community radio in Canada, its history, legal status and the contexts in which it operates. The scope of material included in the article was broad – lots of information and well researched.

The lead makes sense - defining the subject as potentially alternative media as well as including the CRTC governance model.

The structure is good and well organized. But I’m not sure if the MAPL system should be included with so much detail or if it should be linked to its own page from inside Wikipedia? Also wondering if the CanCon provisions should be inside the legal status section or if it should reside in it’s own section? Also wonder if there could be a section just for the Native aspect? But I could be wrong…

The tone of the writing remains neutral and unbiased. No colorful language or embellishments.

The references are diverse, representing government as well as news, and community radio/ coop radio sources. Well balanced.

I think that this article is off to a very strong start and will live on hopefully to be developed further by the Wikipedia community.
