Hi! No, I don't believe in the conspiracy theory at all. From the way the IP users are talking on the talk page, it sounds a lot like Gamergate. (By the way, Crash Override (book) is really good if you're interested in how these harassment campaigns are organized and how people get suckered into them).

However I think at some point, the harassment campaign may become notable enough to mention in the article. Maybe we're at that point already, I'm not sure. But there's no need to go in-depth into the details of the conspiracy theory as that would just be signal-boosting the people spreading the lies. --ChiveFungi (talk) 00:54, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That is extremely unexpected and considerate of you. This exposed me to a unique vulnerbality I had never felt. I do feel embarrassed at my verbosity. It took a simple kind comment to stifle the fear, though you went much, much further....<3 I talk too much too.^^I admire you for seeking matters pertaining to women. Thank you for this.

I wish the issue of the resolution and manner of bear abuse in Korea continuing was noteworthy and perhaps it can be, but I am not aware of the criteria yet and that's not my job. I imagine those films should show up on Cannes' site around now, and yes, and I am the main actor in both. I am learning to use this community - or struggling to - evidently badly and slowly, but I have depended on wikipedia as a writer for years and have respect for it's use, great respect, though it is often criticized and it would be nice to see it become as solid as possible as a source of data that welcomes help. I feel I owe the community that gratitude at the least. I have tried to understand the best way to engage with Wikipedians for casual concerns, as it's been pointed out my large amounts of text are causing intrusion (its a shitty habit but it transpired out of input not well taken and non answers at times, this is not relevant - this is all very small in the grand scheme and i know that) - but can you pls advise me? Again, I certainly appreciate you thinking of me in that manner. I felt rather taken aback. Thank you again. That shows a very impressive level of commitment and generosity. Shortly I will have no more time to pay much attention but this has been very strangely emotional. There is strong vulnerability I did not expect. I actually always thanked my lucky stars for wiki. I depended on it. I found it invaluable. I guess its easy to assume it happens magically... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Megamediamissus (talkcontribs) 08:13, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Question-Megamedia missus (moved here from User page)

[edit]

Hi there, I hope you are well. I am still recovering but doing well. I logged in today to find I had no posts, and my talk page was empty. I was a bit confused. I wasn't aware this was allowed, but I must be mistaken. I am glad i found your page. I have been contacted for matters that the page your preserved truly helped with, and thank you again. I am now helping my director for one film make a page for his film. i am learning and it's difficult but good for me. However, I have not been able to figure out the one question that remains unanswered and hoped you could assist - as your well-intentioned advice made my more confused, and I do not wish to repeat mistakes. I am sorry for writing here (pls feel free to delete) but after the way things went, I did not feel comfortable asking any other. I now understand how biased my page looked, and I can see why this happened simply knowing the nature of the place I worked in. I actually felt really embarrassed by it - it seemed to describe someone that wasn't me, or not so much at this time. My efforts to fix the writing or delete things were often the problem. I am now the focus of a Pr campaign and a bit nervous after this past experience; a few people noticed my page was missing and it contained many links they used. You were very kind for preserving it. I am struggling to understand the definition of RS. I had believed I had many, and you noted how hard it is for an actor to receive press, and yet i suppose I was fortunate being in a situation where I had a niche skill. Cannes is not my first global film festival, it is my 5th. I have been interviewed as a spokesperson for my ngo more times than I kept track of in multi national newspaper including BBC, all of Korea's networks, video radio in Ireland, Canada and Korea, and extensively in Vietnam. I have been endorsed by Jill Robinson MBE, the world's leading expert. I have been highlighted as a leading woman in vocal entertainment in Korea (national newspaper). I have been interviewed many times via radio and TV, and there are many videos of my work I do not own. Can you help me understand which of these are considered reliable sources, or how they would be, or why they can't be? I was repeatedly told I had none, and you kindly advised me to do my best to work hard and offered to keep an eye out - and that was appreciated. The PR effort for my Cannes work is now underway, though the PD company did a great job of minimizing me in much of it, the English media will not. I certainly don't feel that a wiki page will change my life in any way, but I don't like misunderstandings, and i am trying to assist a client now - and the last comment by your admin was memorable: "the only one who finds Kelly Frances notable is Kelly Frances". I suppose I felt the resentment must have come from some egregious error on my part. If you could help me understand a reliable source, I would really appreciate it. Pls do not rush and thank you for your time. I truly am sorry to bother you. Very best regards. ~~~~Megamediamissus

Hi Kelly, I looked at your talk page and everything is still there: User_talk:Megamediamissus. My life is very busy at the moment, and my wikipedia life has been too busy also. It might be a good start to have an article in the Korean wikipedia, if there are more useful sources in Korean language. I am going to leave your comment here for a couple of days, to make sure you can find it again. After that, I will move it to my Talk page, rather than my user page. All best wishes! HouseOfChange (talk) 18:24, 2 May 2018 (UTC) Thank you very much, I just had one epiphany I needed - many of my director's sources were in Korean. This can help him. I did not realize this was a factor. I am so sorry to bother you. I had English sources primarily, so I still feel unclear, but i no longer have much spirit to pursue this now as no one can tell me why my sources were not acceptable. If you could allow the page to be on your separate section as it is, perhaps in time i will feel more encouraged to try to sort it out. i don't speak Korean well and the world does not look to that for reference so that isn't something I feel I can do. We just had our catalogue at cannes published and I helped the director out (his sources are nearly all Korean, but Cannes is in english), and sent him the guide for this. i had no idea. thank you. it is good of you to volunteer so much of yourself to this cause, truly admirable and amazing.I am sorry this experience led to this, but thank you for being the one ray of light in the matter. ~~~~megamediamissus[reply]

Stockholm Climate

[edit]

Why did you undo my change of the Stockholm precipitation chart from green to blue? It has been well established that the usage of green for precipitation is acceptable for climate boxes, especially those with cold climates where the winter temperature appear blue. The usage of green helps distinguish between, and is less easily confused with temperature, so what was your reason for reversing it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SexyBlondeGuy (talkcontribs) 09:40, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Ignorance, sir, pure ignorance," to misquote Samuel Johnson slightly. I did not understand that you were talking about infobox colors; I assumed you were making a joke by claiming Swedish rain is green. I have undone my change, thank you SexyBlondeGuy for your informative and non-bitey message. HouseOfChange (talk) 09:58, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Note to self about NPOL

[edit]

I am removing hyperactive pages such as Village Pump from my watchlist, but I do want to be able to re-look at responses to this proposal I made Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#Revise_WP:NPOL_so_that_someone_who_wins_primary_qualifies_for_more_information_in_Wikkipedia. People suggested that NPOV info about both candidates could be added to topic page for an election, or (in special cases) there could be a separate article for an election that is getting lots of coverage. This avoids creating articles that may have "temporary notability" about challengers to an incumbent. Of course, only after the election is over will we see if the challenger's notability ends with the election. Sarah Palin, Nina Turner, and many other defeated candidates still have articles that reflect much more of their post-election activity than any office they held before their defeat. BLP issues on British politics articles arbitration case opened

[edit]

You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/BLP issues on British politics articles. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/BLP issues on British politics articles/Evidence. Please add your evidence by June 22, 2018, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/BLP issues on British politics articles/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration. Thanks but I have nothing to contribute to the discussion you mention. I have no opinion or special knowledge concerning whether one or both disputants should be sanctioned. My only contribution was to push back against a suggestion that KalHolmann should be sanctioned rather than thanked for bringing this mess to the attention of Wikipedia. Jaclyn Bradley Palmer

[edit]

I see you are attempting to rewrite Jaclyn Bradley Palmer in a non promotional way.

You may find this article useful: http://www.morningjournal.com/general-news/20180616/lorain-schools-alumni-association-announces-inaugural-class-of-distinguished-alumni — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.217.64.71 (talk) 09:16, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the suggestion, this sounds useful. HouseOfChange (talk) 10:43, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is it something you plan to work on as mentioned in the discussion?

Hello again. In July 2018, you kindly stated on my talk page: "So please continue to notify me on my talk page of articles about JBP and her activities, I will be glad to try again with her article when there's a chance of success." I have some new findings that may help.

Aside from needing to be written better (less promotional), contributors stated that there need be more press that was not local news and evidence of notability. These new things awards, articles and literature mentions might help:

AWARDS: New Award: Best Original Music Video, 2018 (Love the Bodies We’re In) Utah Music Awards http://www.theutahmusicawards.com/?page_id=1000

Other awards. -Best pop video (A Loaded Gun) The Indie Gathering, http://theindiegathering.com/2017.html -Award of Recognition, Made of Gold, Documentary, 2016 https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7073589/awards?ref_=nm_awd

PRESS: Authority Magazine, Sept 2018 To be notable on Wikipedia, one of the options/criteria is to have sung an original song on a notable TV show. This publication states: …“I was even able to perform my music live with Gretchen [Bonaduce] on their Vh1 show [Breaking Bonaduce]… which opened the door to licensing my original music to many other television shows and films. https://medium.com/authority-magazine/i-would-like-to-start-a-movement-where-more-people-enjoy-creating-music-simply-for-joy-with-b27587c1eb55?sk=aa75c0b80a6a6f98a3b6efd23cc135ee

Meaww, (June 2018) is a major entertainment news source and speaks about Jaclyn as only American on The Voice of Holland and also about her music video premiering at The Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA. https://meaww.com/the-voice-contestant-to-walk-the-red-carpet

BOOKS: Jaclyn Bradley Palmer was acknowledged in New York Times Best-Selling book INDIANAPOLIS by Lynn Vincent. It mentioned her dedication and “hard work in keeping the legacies alive” of those who have perished, in reference to her documentary, page 544.

https://www.amazon.com/Indianapolis-Disaster-Fifty-Year-Exonerate-Innocent/dp/1501135945

Jaclyn was written about in Gretchen Bonaduce’s new memoir, “Surviving Agent Orange: and other things I learned from getting thrown under the Partridge Family Bus.” Gretchen mentions that Jaclyn was her assistant during the taping of the VH1 show, pages 144, 155, 192. https://www.amazon.com/Surviving-Agent-Orange-Learned-Partridge/dp/194557285X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1537872544&sr=1-1&keywords=surviving+agent+orange

Hopefully this, along with the previous citations, can help in creating a proper page for this person. Side note, Gretchen Bonaduce could use a page also, now that she is a published author and has stared in TV shows. Thank you for your help and expertise!

Why Was Stanford Prison Experiment Reverted?

[edit]

It was clearly a hoax which was basically admitted by the author himself.

The results failed to replicate. The "subjects" were coached. The main character who had a "break down" admitted that he was acting and was not emotionally broken like the results said it was.

This is dictionary hoax, and I'm confused why don't think so.

I gave notes on why it's a hoax, and I'd prefer if you responded.

Perhaps I'm mistaken?

https://ascienceenthusiast.com/the-famous-stanford-prison-experiment-was-a-hoax/

"But according to a recent article written by Ben Blume, the experiment itself was a lie. Ben obtained previously unreleased recordings of the psychologist who ran the Stanford study, and interviewed participants of the study. Ben states that the guards were coached to be cruel to the prisoners." (comment posted by User:ItalianRake)
