Hi Human3015, I'm curious—why did you create this editor's user page? Please feel free to reply here, I've added your talk page to my watchlist. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:59, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, as I look more through your edits, I notice that you also created this editor's user page, this person's, this person's, this person's and who knows how many more. Though I assume you were attempting to be helpful, I must ask that you please stop doing this unless you've gotten the user's permission. If people want a user page, they can create their own. There's no rule that says that every editor has to have a corresponding user page, and when you make statements like "Hi, I'm Chanakya Knights", you are speaking for another editor without their permission. Generally speaking you shouldn't be monkeying around on another editor's user page except to revert vandalism. Please see WP:NOBAN. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:12, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Still no policy stops us from creating user page of another editor, maybe I should create blank page instead of "Hi, I'm XYZ". Most of new editors don't know how to create user page. WP:NOBAN says that we should not substantially edit other's user page, and I don't edit anyone's user page substantially. Blue user page gives confidence to new editors otherwise they wonder why everyone's page is blue and why mine is red. (This was happened to me for few initial months when I joined Wikipedia). I think there is nothing wrong in it, I see many other users create other's user page. This is helpful for relatively less experienced editors.--Human3015TALK  20:34, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There is no point to what you are doing and you are actually making it more difficult for experienced editors to spot new users so that they can issue welcomes and be a little more lenient. If an editor is interested in creating a user page, they can endeavor to figure that out. We're not here to inspire "confidence" or uniformity between users. If you want to go to each user and offer your services as a user page creator, then feel free to do that. Otherwise you are contravening normal user page etiquette. TheRedPenOfDoom doesn't have a user page, and if you created one I imagine that he'd likely ask for it to be deleted. I went a long time before creating a user page, and I didn't like that Sunjerbob created mine, mistaking it for my talk page. I preferred having a non-standard red page. These are some real-world examples of why you should not inflict your preferences on other users' pages. And yes, I would consider the creation of another user's userpage to be a substantial change. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:08, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Cyphoidbomb. Only owners of the account should be creating their use pages and a redlinked user page indicates a new editor whose edits should be checked more carefully. --NeilN talk to me 00:21, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Cyphoidbomb: Well, everyone can have different real world examples. Mohanbhan, Filpro, Happy sage etc have edited their user pages after my creation without changing line "Hi, I'm XYZ" (as of now). I have been thanked by all of these editors, recent thank is by Jaywardhan009, you can see his thank log. And you are talking like my account is entirely and exclusively dedicated to social service of creating user pages of other users. I do many other things too. I have created user pages of hardly 10-15 users till now. But anyway from now I will not create other's user page without their permission. Thanks for your comments and thanks to NeilN too. --Human3015TALK  15:31, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Theravada Buddhist

[edit]

Hi Human3015. I hope you read the discussion by now. You know I've got the name to be a diplomatic editor, even "laid-back," but there's one thinh that really gets me pissed, and that's the kind of dogmatism and unwillingness to even consider reading the academic sources on which my edits are based. Simply dismissing scholarly insights as "Mahayana and Vajrayana," no way. In the context of this discussion, the label "orthodox Theravada Buddhist" is relevant, since it is their background which shapes their dogmatic attitude. NB: you may know that I don't make any difference in the kind of dogmatism people stick to: it's not only Hindu dogmatism, it's also Tamil, Jains, Sikh and Buddhist dogmatism that I question. Best regards, Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 04:38, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Joshua, I was not just talking about that IP, but it is regarding your overall attitude on Buddhism topics. I just want to say few things frankly. There is hegemony of you on Buddhism related topics. On various occaisions you said you have 25 years of experience of studying Buddhism, I have no doubt regarding your knowledge about Buddhism but your views on Buddhism are not inclusive. In short you consider Thervada Buddhism as non-Buddhist philosophy. Any article regarding Buddhism should consider all aspects of Buddhism as per different schools. I wanted to say many things but I am just tired today. But I will comment in detail later. --Human3015TALK  18:36, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Adarsh Liberal, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 21:59, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User talk pages

[edit]

Please, if someone removes a comment you make on their talk page, don't re-add it. It's generally considered disruptive. See WP:BLANKING. You've made your point and they are considered to have read your comment. Ravensfire (talk) 20:00, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I know it, but if I make comment on ANI or somewhere else then he will not able to reply it as he is blocked so I was just making some comments on his talk page where he can reply it. But anyway it happens, I just wanted to do one last edit war with him. --Human3015TALK  20:07, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's a very unhelpful reason and speaks extremely poorly of you. Ravensfire (talk) 20:11, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That is just reason on lighter note. But you should know seriousness of matter. Usually such editors restricted from their talk page access. But anyway, I am not claiming that I was right on my part, I am open to review of my actions and subsequent admin actions. But I think I can defend my case though it was against WP:Blanking. Saw your revert[5], actually it has been agreed on talk page, by most of the editors that these names are not critic of religion Most of these people are still living, thus violating WP:BLPCAT. That's why these names were removed after consensus. Also religious persecution that was added recently, is not criticism of religion. You may want to self revert now. Hi Human3015 - I'd like to think that the lesson has been learnt now regarding edit warring Unfortunately, for many voters at RfA you're going to have to wait around 12 months and show that you understand WP:3RR. I think you can do this, but it'll be worth seeing what other people will comment on at the poll - I could be wrong! Just to echo what I said there about your contributions, it really is appreciated. District name in Page move

[edit]

Check Siripuram, Visakhapatnam and Siripuram,_Guntur_district. One is a locality in City and the other a village in a district. If there is a new article with a village in Vizag district then it will again become disambiguation if it is in a city or district. Also, certain districts will have one or more villages with same name in different mandals. Say XXXX village is in Guntur city and same XXXX village in Guntur mandal outside of city, also XXXX village in Guntur district with different mandal. So, the naming would be XXXX, Guntur, XXXX, Guntur mandal, XXXX, YYYY mandal.--Vin09(talk) 05:55, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Vin09: Hi, but as of now you have moved only talk page and not article name. I think "mandal" means "block" or "taluka" in Andhra Pradesh. Name of block should be written while naming any village instead of district name. Also there is no need to write word "mandal". For example, Asegaon, Jintur comes under Jintur taluka/block of Parbhani district, here no need to write name of village as Asegaon, Jintur taluka or Asegaon, Jintur block or Asegaon, Jintur mandal. Only Asegaon, Jintur is sufficient. And what you are said about villages in Guntur city and Guntur mandal, both villages comes under "Guntur mandal" ("villages" in Guntur city are also part of Guntur mandal). --Human3015TALK  07:37, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My two cents. I think it is preferable to use districts for qualification rather than mandals. Districts are better known and standard State maps show them. They also fit into the nationwide administrative structures whereas mandals are specific to Andhra/Telangana I think. Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 12:34, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Districts usually have multiple villages with same name. So it will be better to add tehsil/taluka/manadal/block name to village for proper identification of that village instead of adding district name. --Human3015TALK  13:59, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is theoretically possible for multiple villages with the same name in the same district. But I would guess that would be quite rare, and we can deal with such situations on a case-by-case basis. I don't think we need to lumber every village with its mandal affiliation, which most people won't know about. - Kautilya3 (talk) 14:10, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is not just theoretical but it is a reality. Each district of India usually has 800-2000 villages and many of them usually have same names. So it will be always better to use tehsil name instead of district name. But we can use district name for major or popular villages. For example I used district name for village Bori, Parbhani though it is in Jintur tehsil. Also Ashti, Jalna is major village where I used district name instead of Partur taluka. So it depends on how big village is. For villages having very low population it will be better to use tehsil name instead of district name. But I neither use tehsil name nor district name for villages having unique names, for example, Daithana, Mirkhel, Chudawa, Charthana etc. So it depends on case, but still I think that writing tehsil name along with village is better thing. --Human3015TALK  14:29, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2016: Game On!

[edit]

We are about to enter the second week of the 2016 WikiCup. The most recent player to sign up brings the current total to 101 contestants. Signups close on 5 February. If you’re interested, you can join this year's WikiCup here.

We are aware that in some areas the scoring bot’s numbers are a little bit off (i.e., overly generous) and are working to have that corrected as soon as possible.--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:04, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Human3015-

Thanks for joining the WikiCup 2016. Unfortunately, I have removed the three DYKs you recently submitted as they were all nominated in 2015 and promoted within the first few days of 2016, with no significant work being done on them in 2016.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Godot13 (talkcontribs)

@Godot13: Its ok. Thanks for clarification. I added it just because I saw one another user got 5 points for his old DYK promoted this year. So I thought its allowed. I also made query on the talk page of Cwmhiraeth. (Actually I was going to ask you but I read on your talk page that you are busy). --Human3015TALK  01:45, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It too has been removed.--Godot13 (talk) 01:54, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Officer's Choice, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Johny Walker. Have a pour of Pappy to celebrate your DYK
It's good to see another user with interest in articles about alcoholic beverages, so have a pour of Pappy on me, and congratulations for the successful DYK nomination for Alcohol in Afghanistan. —BarrelProof (talk) 20:58, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks BarrelProof for your appreciation and additional thanks for helping on this article. This DYK really deserves celebration because if you see this version of DYK nomination, it was promoted in November 2015 and it was suppose to appear on main page in November 2015, but it was pulled back from prep area by a DYK volunteer and since then it took additional 1 month and 13 days to appear it on main page after 3rd approval. So this deserves celebration. If you are interested we can collaborate in future too on any alcohol related article for DYK, GA or FA. Cheers.--Human3015Let It Go  22:11, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I need some advice

[edit]

Hey Human3015, how are you? So recently I was thinking about making a proposal to the Wikipedia India noticeboard and I wanted to learn how to make one. It would be greatly appreciated if you were able to offer help in how to do so. Thanks :)Rabt man (talk) 23:53, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rabt man, I am fine. You can post your suggestions and proposals at WT:IN. Thanks.--Human3015Let It Go  06:11, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for expanding Stone Hall, Nashville, but can you please in-line every sentence? It makes it much, much easier when other editors want to expand the page. Otherwise, we end up not knowing what is cited by what. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 12:54, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reviewing First first-class cricket match in Australia as a DYK. I never expected my work to be appreciated on Wikipedia. But the response has been so encouraging. The article First first-class cricket match in Australia also was promoted as a good article today. Thank you. Xender Lourdes (talk) 16:15, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Its all you deserve. I know its your first DYK, when my first DYK was approved I was also same happy, but your happiness is more special because you also promoted article to GA status. Congrats and thanks for your contribution.--Human3015Let It Go  16:38, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
