I'm afraid that aounds more like a product that you are selling than an individual's user name. You have also not addressed the promotional nature of your edits. Best -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:06, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hungry Planet Foods, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:30, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

This is my first time writing a Wikipedia page and I misunderstood what to use as a username. I didn't realize that using the name of the company I'm writing about would cause an immediate block. I would like to change my username and edit my article. I am not receiving any compensation for this contribution. I understand now why I was blocked and would like to fix my mistakes. I intend to provide helpful and meaningful contributions to Wikipedia after being unblocked. I plan on fixing my original article and resubmitting it.

No, we aren't interested in you doing that. If this is your only goal, this is the end of the line. Otherwise, pick a different subject area to write about. Yamla (talk) 18:12, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, this isn't my only goal and you can see from my history that I edited a handful of articles before even publishing a page. I would like to write multiple articles about plant-based companies and as you can see on Wikipedia, the genre is very under represented. As someone who is apart of the plant-based community, I would like to help solve this issue. You say to pick a different subject area but from what I've read about, Wikipedia doesn't restrict users from what they want to write about, as long as its credible. If they did restrict users, this would make Wikipedia a very biased source and nothing close to an encyclopedia. My research has over 30 credible sources from newspapers, articles, podcasts and tv segments. I made a huge mistake and am trying to fix it. This is my first time writing a Wikipedia page and I am still learning the ropes. If anything, I ask you for productive feedback so that I can fix my errors and finish this page under the guidelines of Wikipedia. I have no poor intentions to write this page against Wikipedia's policies. Hungryplanetfoods (talk) 18:25, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Because Wikipedia's policy is that usernames should not be shared between more than one individual, the following types of usernames are not permitted because they imply shared use:

  • Usernames that are simply names of companies or groups are not permitted (these also fall under Promotional names).
  • Personal usernames that imply shared access, such as "Jack and Jill", are not permitted.
  • Usernames that are names of posts within organizations, such as "Secretary of the XY Foundation", are not permitted, as such a post may be held by different persons at different times.
  • However, usernames are acceptable if they contain a company or group name but are clearly intended to denote an individual person, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", "WidgetFan87", etc." -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:07, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
