The article Unfuckupable has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTDICT

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Self-guilt moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Self-guilt, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi - I wanted to give you some more extensive feedback on this article, and why I think you need to work on it a bit more before publishing.
My main concern is that there is not very much in the way of reliable sourcing there. If you take a look at WP:RS, you'll see that blogs are not acceptable - that rules out radmavarix, theferrarinn, iqmatrix, tinybuddha and the like. Quora.com is user-generated, so also not reliable. If you take all that stuff out, a lot of the sources supporting the major content is gone. Psychology Today is more like the kind of thing you should be looking for - however, the mentions of this subject in reliable sources all seem to be passing mentions - they use the phrase once or twice, but don't talk about it in depth.
That brings me on to my next concern - I'm not certain whether or not the subject is notable. If it's just a phrase that sources use in pieces of writing, but don't discuss in and of itself, then it's not notable per WP:GNG - you need some reliable sources actually discussing self-guilt as a concept to demonstrate that it passes that threshold. Without that, any article will likely end up getting deleted.
Finally, I think the writing style could be tightened up. Phrases like 'Self-guilt is said to the devil inside your own mind' would be find in a piece of journalism, but they're not encyclopedic. Try to be strictly factual and dispassionate - boring, if you like - don't try and make the writing more interesting with creative comparisons. (If there was a reliable source that said it was like the devil inside your own mind, you could probably get away with making it a directly attributed quote - e.g. Dr Tim Smith has described self-guilt as being 'like the devil inside your own mind'.)
I hope this is helpful. If you can find and add some better sourcing, let me know if you'd like me to take a look. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 22:21, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
